I remember a really impactful scene from the Thriller Bark arc. Zoro just completely knocked Sanji out with a single blow. Both of them had been begging Kuma to take their life instead of Luffy’s, but Zoro ended up shouldering Luffy’s pain. Sanji didn’t even wake up until after Kuma was gone.

Zoro once accomplished an incredible feat in Whiskey Peak, defeating one hundred bounty hunters in a single night. He easily overwhelmed his opponents with his exceptional swordsmanship, strength, and stamina, leaving no one on the island able to challenge him.

Zoro Rescues Hiyori Ahead of Sanji in Wano
Zoro and Sanji have very different approaches to women. Zoro sees everyone as equals, even during fights, but Sanji is extremely chivalrous and feels compelled to protect all women in the One Piece world, no matter their character.
Once that was resolved, Sanji was shocked to see Zoro with Hiyori in Wano. It was obvious Hiyori favored Zoro, and the two seemed very comfortable with each other, which made Sanji incredibly jealous.

Sanji, finishing in seventh place, quickly became the target of Zoro’s teasing. Zoro relentlessly called him “Number 7,” particularly after Sanji had prevented Zoro from going fishing, jokingly claiming he’d immediately get lost without guidance. This sparked their usual playful argument, with neither one willing to give an inch.
Zoro Makes Sanji Wear a Shameful Cap in Long Ring Long Land
Many viewers struggle to get through the Long Ring Long Land arc, which featured the captain of the Foxy Pirates as its main villain. The anime adaptation unfortunately made this arc feel drawn-out, and many fans didn’t find Foxy to be a compelling villain.
People who skipped the Long Ring Long Land story arc also missed a funny moment: Zoro made Sanji wear a ridiculous cap as part of the Davy Back Fight’s second game. Zoro then playfully teased Sanji, saying the cap actually looked good on him.

Zoro Fights King While Sanji Fights Queen
Throughout One Piece, Zoro consistently faces tougher enemies than Sanji. This pattern started early on, like when Zoro battled Mr. 1 while Sanji fought Mr. 2. We see it again in the Wano arc, where Zoro takes on King and Sanji fights Queen.
