had a unique story and bounty, with some facing consequences for their actions. - Notable former Warlords like Crocodile, Doflamingo, and Boa Hancock had bounties that reflected their notorious deeds and affiliations.
As a seasoned One Piece fanatic, I find myself utterly captivated by the intricate lives of these pirate legends. From the notorious Buggy the Clown to the enigmatic Dracule Mihawk, and the formidable Blackbeard, each one has left an indelible mark on the Grand Line.
In the captivating world of One Piece, I found myself captivated by the intricate system known as the Warlord ranks, a creation of the World Government designed to counterbalance the dominance wielded by the Yonko. Over time, the Seven Warlords of the Sea would undergo changes, with some choosing to step down or face dismissal due to various circumstances. Interestingly, these Warlords were granted unique privileges that allowed them to engage in illicit activities without fear of repercussions.
One benefit of being a Warlord was that their bounty would be frozen, making it easy for them to travel without encountering issues. However, this system has been eliminated following the latest Levely. This change occurred due to past Warlords such as Crocodile and Doflamingo exploiting their power to orchestrate coups and carry out heinous actions against territories governed by the World Government.
Consequently, the Seven Warlords faced renewed pursuit, and the rewards for capturing them escalated. Each pirate’s bounty reflected their level of infamy, with this list ranking the Seven Warlords from “One Piece” according to their respective bounties.
The entries in this list are based on their last known bounties in the series.
11 Bartholomew Kuma
Bounty: 296,000,000 Belly
As a devoted member of the Revolutionary Army for quite some time, I made the heartbreaking decision to serve as Dr. Vegapunk’s model for the Pacifista Project, hoping it would save my cherished adoptive daughter, Jewelry Bonney. Unfortunately, this choice unleashed a series of events that temporarily stripped me of my pirate autonomy. Following the completion of my mission to safeguard the Thousand Sunny, I found myself enslaved by the World Nobles, enduring unimaginable cruelty at their hands. Eventually, I was liberated from this oppressive bondage, thanks to a coalition of high-ranking revolutionaries spearheaded by Sabo.
Following the revolutionaries’ restoration and repair efforts, he ventured to Egghead with the intention of rescuing Bonney. This journey culminated in him squaring off against Jaygarcia Saturn directly. Most recently, he was spotted grinning from ear to ear, albeit damaged, on the deck of the Giant Warrior Pirates’ vessel, observing Bonney and Luffy giving Saturn a thrashing. Upon being inducted into the Seven Warlords, Kuma held a bounty of 296,000,000 berries. If he managed to survive this altercation, his bounty is expected to skyrocket given that he attacked one of the Five Elders, whose authority surpasses even the World Nobles.
10 Gecko Moria
Bounty: 320,000,000 Belly
Originally a formidable adversary to the notorious pirate Kaido, Gecko Moria experienced a significant decline in power following their confrontation. In the battle with Kaido, Moria’s entire crew was wiped out, causing him to reassess his approach to human recruitment. Consequently, he opted to create zombies and utilize them as an alternative workforce instead.
Prior to the unfreezing of the Seven Warlords’ bounties, Moria had an antagonistic relationship with the World Government. This hostility stemmed from his inability to defeat the Straw Hats pirates, resulting in Kuma’s intervention. His dismissal was finalized following the Battle of Marineford. Later, Doflamingo approached him with a squad of Pacifista soldiers and informed him that he had orders to kill him, making it appear as if he died during the war at Marineford. Although Doflamingo did not manage to kill Moria, he believed he inflicted injuries severe enough to ensure his death.
Contrarily to what was initially believed, Moira’s journey to Blackbeard’s island, Hachinosu, was not a step towards joining the pirate crew. Instead, he went there to search for his lost comrade, Absalom. Upon encountering Absalom’s demise at the hands of the Blackbeard Pirates, Moira was presented with the choice to join their ranks, but he declined. This decision led to his imprisonment on the island. His bounty, which had been deactivated, was reinstated at a relatively low sum of 320,000,000 “belly,” an amount that aligns with his previous dismissal for incompetence.
9 Donquixote Doflamingo
Bounty: 340,000,000 Belly (Currently Inactive)
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share some insights about a fascinating character: me, in a former life, was none other than Donquixote Doflamingo, the ex-king of Dressrosa. Unlike other pirates who earned their Warlord status through feats and deeds, I managed to secure this position by using my knowledge as leverage against the World Government. This power I wielded wasn’t gained from a life of piracy or bravery, but rather from my upbringing as a World Noble, which provided me with secrets that few others possess.
Doflamingo seized control of the kingdom Dressrosa by stirring the populace against King Riku in a coup. This takeover, coupled with Crocodile’s failed coup in Alabasta, led to the dismantling of the Warlord system. At the time, Doflamingo’s bounty stood at 340 million Berries. After a prolonged fight with Luffy, he was ultimately captured and incarcerated within Impel Down, making his bounty no longer available for collection.
8 Edward Weevil
Bounty: 480,000,000 Belly (Currently Inactive)
Edward Weevil claims to be the offspring of Whitebeard, an iconic pirate regarded as one of the greatest in history. His physical power is often likened to that of young Whitebeard, a comparison that speaks volumes of his prowess. Notably, he’s among a small group of Warlords who don’t lead their own crews. Instead, he mostly works under the influence of his mother, Miss Buckingham Stussy.
Weevil has been actively hunting members of the Whitebeard Pirates, but with the Warlord system no longer functioning, he has also clashed with the Marines several times. Despite his immense power, Weevil was recently taken prisoner by Admiral Ryokugyu. While it is unclear where the former Warlord is currently being held, his 480,000,000 belly bounty is likely inactive for the time being.
7 Jimbei
Bounty: 1,100,000,000 Belly
In a recent development, Jimbei has become the newest member of the Straw Hat Pirate crew. The creator, Oda, hinted at this addition as far back as the Fish-Man Island storyline. Before joining the Seven Warlords, Jimbei was dedicated to safeguarding Fish-Man Island from potential threats. He once served as captain of the Sun Pirates but has since stepped down from that role.
During his time as a warlord, he boasted a fortune of 250 million. Before the Summit War, Jimbei renounced his position rather than engage in conflict with Whitebeard. He then served under the Big Mom Pirates, but ultimately defected to join the Straw Hats, fully trusting in Luffy’s potential for change. After a series of events following this betrayal, Jimbei opted to assist his former crew to shield them from Big Mom. Eventually, he became an official member of the Straw Hats during the Wano arc. Upon the conclusion of the Wano Country saga, Jimbei received a new bounty of 1.1 billion on his head.
6 Boa Hancock
Bounty: 1,659,000,000 Belly
As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this:
Regardless of her implied obligations towards the government, she openly disobeyed them by aiding Monkey D. Luffy, whom she deeply cares for, in entering Impel Down, which led to a significant breakout. Later, during the battle at Marineford, she was eager to fight against the marines. Yet, her actions didn’t threaten her status as a Warlord, as she was an integral part of the system until its disbandment. Her latest bounty was astonishingly high at 1,659,000,000 berries, a significant increase from her previous 80,000,000.
5 Crocodile
Bounty: 1,965,000,000 Belly
In the Alabasta storyline, a crocodile played the role of the principal adversary. Deceitfully, he won Nefertari Cobra’s trust while secretly plotting to bring down the kingdom. As Mr. 0, the covert leader of Baroque Works – an organization made up of criminals – he aimed to seize control of Alabasta, promising power to its top-ranking members. However, he was ultimately vanquished by Luffy and imprisoned in Impel Down.
In the Impel Down storyline, Crocodile chose to escape when Luffy orchestrated a massive prison breakout. Later, during the war at Marineford, he played a crucial role in saving Ace’s life. After the Summit War concluded, Crocodile journeyed to the New World along with Daz Bonez. He eventually established the Cross Guild, a mercenary group capable of placing bounties on marines. Despite being one of the two main leaders and having such a significant role, he holds the smallest reward, amounting to 1,965,000,000 berries.
4 Trafalgar D. Water Law
Bounty: 3,000,000,000 Belly
Trafalgar Law, once a prominent figure belonging to the infamous Worst Generation, had been under much scrutiny for quite some time. However, following the dissolution of his alliance with Luffy, attention has shifted away from him.
During the time skip, Law transitioned into a position of power as a Warlord, largely due to his involvement in the Rocky Port Incident. Prior to this transformation, he had amassed a considerable bounty of 500 million berries. In the course of the Wano Country Arc, he allied with Eustass Kid to challenge Big Mom, causing his bounty to skyrocket to an impressive 3 billion berries. After leaving Wano, Law’s entire crew was eliminated by the Blackbeard Pirates, with only him and Beppo confirmed to have survived. The impact of this event on Law’s bounty remains uncertain at this time.
3 Buggy
Bounty: 3,189,000,000 Belly
Following the end of the Summit War, Buggy was promoted to the title of Warlord. Known for his past as a pirate and having been a crew member of Gol D. Roger and long-term ally of Shanks, he has gained notoriety that often overestimates his true power. His significant involvement in the escape from Impel Down has contributed to this misconception. Prior to the system’s dismantling, Buggy was one of five pirates who were connected with the government.
Following a financial squeeze from Crocodile, Pirate Buggy chose to leverage his popularity to advertise Crocodile’s Cross Guild at no cost instead. Unfortunately for Buggy, his crewmates incorrectly perceived him as the guild leader when they were producing posters. However, Crocodile and Mihawk opted to maintain Buggy on staff in a ceremonial role, while making decisions clandestinely. The influence of the Cross Guild elevated Buggy’s status to that of an Emperor, a captain of one of the most formidable crews opposing the World Government currently. This recognition has resulted in him holding one of the highest bounties among ex-Warlords, amounting to 3,189,000,000 berries, despite being the weakest member within the organization.
2 Dracule Mihawk
Bounty: 3,590,000,000 Belly
Dracule Mihawk, famously recognized as the World’s Strongest Swordsman, is frequently mentioned in discussions about the most potent characters within the series. His prodigious strength has earned him both recognition and respect from his adversaries, with almost every character aware of the danger he embodies. It’s plausible that he was given this position to prevent potential chaos, considering his past record of eliminating numerous esteemed marines.
For quite some time, the exact bounty of Mihawk remained undisclosed, but it was unveiled at the conclusion of the Wano Country Arc. Following the establishment of the Cross Guild, Mihawk was assigned a bounty of an impressive 3.59 billion Belly, making him the senior officer with the highest bounty in the guild.
1 Blackbeard
Bounty: 3,996,000,000 Belly
Marshall D. Teach, more commonly referred to by his nickname Blackbeard, is among the most powerful pirate captains within the world of One Piece. Surprisingly, he has been able to stay relatively hidden from the government’s notice, even while serving in the Whitebeard Pirates. Remarkably, he held no bounty when he was officially recognized as a Warlord.
He used his position to gain clearance to enter Impel Down, where he recruited five of the facility’s most dangerous prisoners to join his crew. After the Summit War, he used his intimate knowledge of Whitebeard’s territories to gain control of the majority of them, becoming an emperor. He further bolstered his power by convincing Kuzan, a former marine admiral, to become one of his Ten Titanic Captains, gaining a ship and division to command. Due to his immense power, Blackbeard now has the highest known bounty of those who served as Warlords, resting at 3,996,000,000 belly.
