One Piece Characters Stronger Than Dracule Mihawk

Dracule Mihawk is known as the world’s greatest swordsman in One Piece, meaning he’s better than any other fighter who relies on a sword. He’s incredibly skilled, and so far, nobody has ever defeated him in battle.

Despite being known as the ‘World’s Greatest Swordsman,’ Mihawk isn’t necessarily the strongest fighter in One Piece, considering many powerful characters don’t even rely on weapons. Here’s a list of One Piece characters who could defeat him in battle.

Monkey D. Garp

After the battle at God Valley, where he fought alongside and against legendary pirates, Monkey D. Garp earned the title ‘Hero of the Marines.’ Surprisingly, he wasn’t at his strongest during that fight – Garp actually became even more powerful afterward, ultimately becoming the most respected figure in the entire Marine organization.

Garp is an incredibly powerful fighter who relies on his immense strength and Haki. He combines these abilities for a truly destructive fighting style, capable of leveling mountains. At his peak, he was a match for Gol D. Roger, meaning someone like Mihawk wouldn’t stand much of a chance against him. A fight between them would likely be a complete victory for Garp.

Shanks

Affiliation: Red Hair Pirates

  • Devil Fruit: No

Shanks leads the Red Hair Pirates and is known as one of the Four Emperors. Even as a child, Shanks was incredibly skilled, surprising people with his advanced techniques and powerful Haki. Over the years, he’s mastered his abilities to the point where he’s considered the most proficient Haki user in the world of One Piece.

Shanks’ powerful Haki doesn’t just make his attacks stronger; it can also prevent enemies from anticipating his moves. This gives him a huge advantage in battle, potentially changing everything. While Shanks and Mihawk were once equals, Shanks has clearly become the stronger fighter.

Sakazuki

Affiliation: World Government, Marines

  • Devil Fruit: Magu Magu no Mi

Sakazuki is the highest-ranking officer in the Marines, giving him complete command of the entire organization. He earned this position through a fierce, multi-day battle with Kuzan, and his victory secured his control of the Marines.

From what I’ve seen, Sakazuki is currently the strongest fighter in the organization. His Devil Fruit, the Magu Magu no Mi, lets him create and control magma, and it’s unbelievably powerful – he can take down even the toughest criminals without much effort. Plus, he’s skilled in two types of Haki. Honestly, with everything he brings to the table, I think he could easily defeat someone like Mihawk.

Blackbeard

Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates

  • Devil Fruit: Yami Yami no Mi, Gura Gura no Mi

Blackbeard is a notoriously powerful pirate in the world of One Piece. He quickly became famous, surprising many with his rapid rise to power. Driven by a desire to rule the world, Blackbeard understands that he needs immense strength to achieve his goal.

Blackbeard is incredibly powerful because he has two unique and devastating Devil Fruit abilities. The first, the Yami Yami no Mi, lets him cancel out other Devil Fruit powers and control darkness. His second ability, granted by the Gura Gura no Mi, allows him to create powerful earthquakes whenever he wants. These two abilities combined make Blackbeard exceptionally strong, surpassing even skilled fighters like Mihawk.

Monkey D. Dragon

Dragon leads the Revolutionary Army and is considered the world’s most wanted criminal because of it. He started the organization with Ivankov and Kuma with the goal of improving the world by overthrowing oppressive governments and helping people. They’ve already liberated several kingdoms, most recently Lulusia.

Dragon hasn’t shown his full strength yet, but he’s clearly among the most powerful characters in One Piece. Considering his officers can fight on equal footing with the Admirals, Dragon must be even stronger. As the story unfolds, we’ll finally get to see what Dragon is truly capable of.

Gorosei

The Gorosei, or Five Elders, are incredibly influential figures within the World Government. Each Elder has a designated responsibility that they are expected to fulfill. They work directly for Imu and are completely devoted to them.

For a long time, the full power of the Five Elders was a mystery to fans, but the Egghead arc revealed their capabilities. They worked together to try and eliminate Vegapunk and the Straw Hat Pirates. Each Elder possesses an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit ability, along with immortality, regeneration, and Haki, making them almost unbeatable in a fight. Even a skilled swordsman like Mihawk wouldn’t stand a chance against any one of them.
