As a long-time One Piece enthusiast with over two decades of following this captivating series, I find myself both intrigued and patiently waiting for the enigmatic character, Monkey D. Dragon, to take center stage. With his mysterious nature and strategic inactivity, he has become one of the most anticipated characters in the entire storyline.
Certain characters from the renowned series One Piece, although cherished by the fanbase, have yet to significantly impact the narrative thus far. Characters such as Shanks, Dragon, and even Akainu, are often seen operating covertly, executing their strategies with cold precision while patiently biding their time for their next entry. For avid One Piece enthusiasts, this enigmatic and mysterious nature of the characters adds an element of intrigue, as they eagerly await the moment when these characters will make a grand entrance and alter the course of the story. Essentially, fans are investing hope in characters who have yet to contribute significantly but are expected to bring about significant changes upon their arrival.
Observing from the sidelines, it’s clear that characters such as Shanks and Akainu have left their mark on the epic tale of One Piece. Yet, the elusive Dragon, Head of the Revolutionary Army, has been a silent spectator since his debut. Over two decades have passed, and he continues to bide his time, showing no inclination towards taking action. This prolonged inactivity might stir restlessness among fans, but perhaps it’s the most strategic move for this enigmatic figure. After all, waiting patiently could prove to be the greatest power move of them all.
Who Is Dragon In One Piece?
A Man Who Hasn’t Done Anything In Over 20 Years
In the anime series “One Piece,” Monkey D. Dragon is introduced as the father of the main character, Monkey D. Luffy, and the son of the Navy’s Hero, Monkey D. Garp. He currently leads the Revolutionary Army, a group determined to overthrow the World Government, and is the most wanted individual within “One Piece.” Despite his significant role, Dragon has not been heavily involved in the plot up until now, with Luffy encountering him just once.
There can be no happiness in a world where the undesirables are thrown away. – Dragon
In the thrilling saga of “One Piece,” I found myself reminiscing about the Loguetown Arc. Before our fearless Straw Hat crew even ventured into the Grand Line, a mysterious figure named Dragon made a fleeting yet impactful appearance to rescue Luffy from Smoker’s clutches. Since then, other Revolutionaries have taken center stage, but Dragon himself has been a patient observer, biding his time for the perfect moment to strike. It’s hard to believe, but it was back in 1999, roughly 25 years ago in our world, that Dragon last came to Luffy’s aid in Loguetown. Apart from brief reactions and quick chats about global affairs, Dragon has remained largely off-screen since then.
Dragon’s Inactivity Makes Sense From A Story Perspective
A Calculated Attack Will Work Much Better Than A Hasty One Against The World Government
- Dragon’s Lack Of Action Is Important To His Character
- Acting Too Fast Would Be A Fatal Mistake For A Revolutionary
As I watch the intriguing Revolutionary, Dracule Mihawk, seemingly idle in the world of One Piece, it strikes me that this inactivity might just be the key to unlocking his full potential. Although it’s a bit monotonous on the surface, it fits perfectly within the narrative arc of One Piece, and from a writing standpoint, too. It’s still early days, but I can’t help but feel that Mihawk’s gradual entrance could lead to one of the most impactful character moments this series has yet to deliver.
In the world of “One Piece”, it’s logical that Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionaries, hasn’t taken action throughout the series so far. Despite the Revolutionaries’ power, they are not yet capable of directly confronting the mighty World Government. However, Dragon has been strategically waiting for his forces to become stronger and for external factors like Luffy and his team to diminish the strength of the World Government. Dragon is a character known for his intelligence and patience. It’s only natural that the Head of the Revolutionary Army would refrain from making a move until he is confident of victory.
Waiting For Dragon Builds Hype For The Character
Fan Speculation Helps Make Dragon Even More Anticipated
In terms of storytelling, even though it might give the impression that Dragon is uninteresting due to a gradual reveal of his true strength across the series, this prolonged anticipation has actually made him one of the most eagerly awaited characters yet. With numerous fan theories speculating about his powers and background, it’s intriguing how much enthusiasm there is for a character who has spoken very little. Although the wait might have been slightly too extended, the moment when Dragon takes action is expected to be one of the highlights of One Piece, given the lengthy period fans had to endure in waiting for it.
Someday I will change the world. – Dragon
At present, it appears that Dragon might need to act soon, as One Piece is deep within its Final Saga. In the ensuing years, many unresolved mysteries surrounding Dragon should be clarified. For now, fans can only guess what actions the Leader of the Revolutionary Army will take before the conclusion of One Piece.
