In the recent installment of “One Piece”, I found myself deeply touched. The climactic battle between Admiral Kizaru and Sentomaru reached its conclusion, but what made it particularly poignant was their long-standing friendship. Having known each other for decades, they shared a bond that made it painfully difficult for them to engage in combat with one another.

Many assumed that Kizaru would be unaffected by his history with Sentomaru, yet it appears they underestimated him significantly. In truth, the Admiral was grappling emotionally as he faced someone he had once observed grow. Nevertheless, he summoned the strength to overcome Sentomaru in the end.

The episode set up two major battles that will take place in the upcoming episodes.

Luffy And Kizaru Face Each Other Again After Years

The initial battle will feature Monkey D. Luffy against Kizaru. Upon entering Labophase, the Admiral tracked a massive robot transporting the Thousand Sunny and found himself face to face with Luffy and his team. Instead of dwelling on their previous loss to the Admiral, Luffy immediately launched an attack. He also informed Kizaru that the Straw Hats had grown a thousand times stronger since their last encounter.

In this scenario, Luffy and Kizaru are formidable combatants with extensive battle backgrounds. They must give their maximum effort in the upcoming clash, as the stakes are high for both. For Kizaru, triumphing means significantly advancing towards the mission of eliminating Dr. Vegapunk. The Admiral has been instructed by Jaygarcia Saturn to ensure that Vegapunk does not survive. By emerging victorious, Kizaru will also help the Marines achieve their three primary objectives, including:

  • Saving York
  • Protecting the Punk Records
  • Securing the machine that produces the Mother Flame

The World Government Has Already Made Its Priorities Clear

The World Government cannot risk losing York, for she possesses the knowledge to operate the device manufacturing fuel for the main flame. She is among a select few who can manipulate Punk Records too. Saturn aims to obtain Punk Records due to its wealth of data accumulated by Vegapunk over time. Gaining control of the machinery capable of producing Mother’s Flame will empower the World Government to deploy the weapon repeatedly.

From where I stand, it’s clear that Admiral Kizaru isn’t holding back from the get-go. He wields the Pika Pika no Mi, a devil fruit that gives him the ability to control light freely. His attacks are so potent that they could extinguish any opponent unlucky enough to be hit. Moreover, he skillfully employs both Armament and Observation Haki, making him a formidable adversary indeed.

Just as Luffy himself admitted, his strength has increased a staggering 100-fold since their last encounter on Sabaody Archipelago. Back then, Luffy was still unfamiliar with Haki and its mechanics, and had yet to grasp the full potential of his Devil Fruit. However, in the time that’s passed, Luffy has become adept at utilizing all three forms of Haki. Furthermore, he’s even mastered their advanced applications. Now, Luffy can wield his Devil Fruit without any constraints whatsoever.

Rob Lucci And Roronoa Zoro Is Another Big Fight

After Kizaru overpowered Sentomaru, Lucci found renewed self-assurance. Making use of the commotion stirred up by the Admiral, CP0’s Lucci launched an assault on Vegapunk. Fortunately, Stussy intervened and shielded the scientist from harm. Before Lucci could inflict further damage, Zoro intercepted him.

The unexpected clash between Zoro and Lucci has sparked excitement among fans. Though no one predicted this confrontation, it’s thrilling to witness such formidable fighters squaring off against each other. Zoro, having triumphed over King, a top lieutenant of Kaido, is brimming with self-assurance. As for Lucci, he has been a constant bother for the Straw Hats, demonstrating his elite status as a fighter who excels in using Rokushiki at its pinnacle. Furthermore, he possesses an awakened Zoan-type Devil Fruit that significantly boosts his strength. Given their impressive power levels, spectators can expect an engaging battle between the two.
