One Piece Episode 1155 Release Date

This post contains spoilers for One Piece.

Fans of One Piece are getting ready for a big finish before the anime takes a short break. Episode 1154 feels like the end of the Egghead story arc, as the Straw Hat crew leaves the island and begins their journey to Elbaf.

Episode 1154 of One Piece revealed Vegapunk’s plan to fight York and the World Government, which was the main focus of the episode. Fans had been wondering how Vegapunk got a transmission snail inside the Iron Giant, and this episode finally explained it – and offered even more details than expected.

Vegapunk Knew That York Had Betrayed Him

Two weeks before the events surrounding Egghead, Vegapunk discovered that a satellite had turned against him and stolen part of the Mother Flame. This individual had cleverly used false memories to deceive everyone and almost succeeded. Fortunately, Stella, Pythagoras, and Shaka quickly stepped in to address the situation.

Stella and Shaka believed Lilith was the one who betrayed them, as she seemed to represent the darker side of Vegapunk. Pythagoras disagreed, but after a week of investigating, they discovered the real traitor was York. He had sent a piece of Mother Flame to the Five Elders using powerful Sea Beast Weapons.

Vegapunk then decided to record a message to be released after his death. It was a strange plan, but it showed how committed he was to revealing the truth. Once the message was finished, he cleverly hid the device delivering it—a transponder snail—inside the Iron Giant, confident York wouldn’t be able to find it. Finally, Stellar, Shaka, and Pythagoras wiped their memories to further protect the information from York.

Vivi Is Still Traveling With Morgans

A particularly memorable scene was Vivi confronting Morgans about spreading false information and biased reports. Vivi is known for her courage and wasn’t afraid to voice her concerns. However, Morgans, as the head of the World Journal, remained unfazed. He believes his responsibility is to deliver sensational news to the public, regardless of its accuracy or potential to cause alarm. His primary goal is simply to generate publicity.
