Additionally, Luffy bested Krieg, who had sailed to the Grand Line with an enormous armada, and ultimately, Arlong, a pirate from the Grand Line who controlled the Conomi Islands.

In just a few short weeks, his ability to intimidate formidable pirates became evident to the government, leading them to believe he posed a significant danger. As a result, they offered a substantial bounty of 30 million berries for his capture.

This significant rise in his bounty solidified his status as one of the most promising rookie pirates sailing the Grand Line’s Paradise half.

After scoring a whopping 300 million berry bounty, I didn’t just sit back and relax. Instead, not long after the thrilling events at Enies Lobby, I dared to venture into Impel Down with a mission to rescue my dearest brother. This audacious move led to the most significant prison breakout Impel Down had ever witnessed, surpassing its previous record of just one individual managing to escape before me.

Furthermore, then, Luffy invaded the Marine HQ, and fought against the Marines alongside the Whitebeard Pirates. Eventually, Luffy successfully crept past all the defenses of the Navy and saved Ace. Of course, Ace ended up dying anyway, but, the threat that Luffy posed, especially after showcasing his Conqueror’s Haki in front of everyone, was enough for the Government to raise his reward from 300 to 400 million. This also saw Luffy move from a rookie pirate to a veteran pirate and he kept this bounty until much later in the story.
