In the world of One Piece, Imu stands as the absolute ruler, the sole occupant of the Vacant Throne. His introduction occurred during the Levely Arc, causing shock waves throughout the entire series. Such is the secrecy surrounding his existence that only those deemed worthy by him are spared. Those who are not meet with severe consequences. Imu is a formidable force, as his powers surpass any known in the present timeline.
He has extraordinary abilities that are among the most powerful ever displayed in the series. Imu also holds all levels of Haki and is extremely proficient in using Conqueror’s Haki, which is rumored to be so strong that it’s been described as ridiculous by even Loki. Few have encountered him, and those who have often find themselves narrowly avoiding death.
This version attempts to maintain the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language. It also simplifies some of the complex phrases and sentence structures found in the original text.
Joy Boy
The Only One That Imu Feared
- Fight: During The Void Century
Known as a legendary figure and the world’s first pirate, Joy Boy was a formidable character whose Haki instilled fear in Imu. During the Void Century, Joy Boy stood against Imu, a conflict that required twenty kingdoms to bring to an end, along with his allies. Given their history, it is likely that Imu and Joy Boy have clashed multiple times, as Imu’s animosity towards Joy Boy surpasses any known level of hatred.
In addition, he made efforts to get rid of Luffy before he reached the level of Joy Boy, a potential danger to the empire he had labored tirelessly to construct. Notably, only Joy Boy poses a threat that Imu acknowledges as significant, as his actions continue to pose problems for the ruler of the world.
Sabo
He knows The Secret Of The World Government

- Fight: During Reverie
In simpler terms, Sabo shares a strong bond with Luffy, serving as his sworn brother and holding a high rank within the Revolutionary Army. On an undercover mission in Marijoa with other top leaders of the army, he came face-to-face with Imu, who is the supreme leader of the World Government. This encounter also allowed the team to free Kuma from slavery under the World Nobles. Furthermore, Sabo crossed paths not only with Imu but also the Gorosei, a powerful council within the World Government.
It came as a shock to Sabo when he discovered the secret identity of Imu, who was hidden from the world. Upon learning about Imu, Sabo found that Imu and the Gorosei were preparing to execute Nefertari Cobra. Determined to save Cobra, Sabo attempted to intervene but found himself no match for the power he faced. Cobra sacrificed his own life to let Sabo escape, but even in his weakened state, Imu managed to injure Sabo with his ability. With great difficulty, Sabo managed to flee from the scene, barely escaping with his life.
Strawhat Pirates
Imu Appeared In Front Of The Crew To Destroy Elbaf

- Fight: During Elbaf
During the Elbaf arc, the Straw Hat Pirates caught a glimpse of Imu’s power. The crew, consisting of Nami, Usopp, Jinbe, and Brook, encountered one of the Holy Knights, Manmayer Gunko. For a while, Gunko seemed to play with them like a cat does with a ball, but suddenly Imu overpowered her and stood before the Straw Hats, a sight that sent chills down their spines.
By some fortunate twist of fate, they managed to make it through their encounter with Imu; even the notorious trickster Loki trembled at Imu’s presence. At that moment, Imu’s true objective diverged from what could have threatened the Straw Hats. The astonishing power displayed by Imu became evident as to why he holds such a dominating position in the world.
Brogy and Dorry
Tried To Take Imu On His Own

- Fight: During Elbaf
In the storyline known as the Little Garden arc, Brogy emerged as one of the Giant Warrior Pirates’ co-captains. During this time, he often engaged in battles with Dorry. Remarkably, these fights spanned over a hundred years! Their conflict ultimately reached its end when the Straw Hat Pirates managed to get them to put their disagreements aside. Oimo and Kashi then led them back to their homeland peacefully. During the Egghead Island arc, Brogy proved to be invaluable to the Straw Hats, aiding Luffy and his crew in achieving their objectives.
In the thrilling Elbaf saga, I found myself witnessing an unfortunate turn of events when Brogy squared off against the formidable Imu, who manipulated Gunko’s body for his nefarious purposes. Determined to stand my ground, I fought against Imu, but a devastating blow cost me my hand and left me at the mercy of his control, transformed into a puppet doing his bidding. Dorry joined the fray next, and we both succumbed swiftly to defeat.
