One Piece: Every Character on Elbaf With Supreme King Haki

While Devil Fruits provide a wide range of abilities in One Piece, Haki is generally the more impactful power. There are three types of Haki, each giving users a unique edge in battle. A few characters, including Luffy and Shanks, have mastered all three. However, Supreme King Haki is the most powerful and uncommon of the three.

Supreme King Haki is a powerful ability that lets a user dominate those with weaker wills, either scaring them into submission or knocking them unconscious. Skilled users can even enhance their attacks with this Haki, making them incredibly formidable. Since Elbaf is attracting some of the strongest characters in the world, it’s likely many of them possess this rare ability. Let’s take a look at who on Elbaf can wield this incredible power.

Scopper Gaban

The “Mountain-Eater” Lives Up To This Name

Even with limited screen time in the Elbaf Arc, Scopper Gaban has demonstrated incredible strength. When the Knights of God invaded the giant’s homeland and even kidnapped their children, Gaban, along with other giants and members of the Straw Hat crew, immediately intervened.

Gaban was a key member of the Roger Pirates, widely considered one of its strongest fighters – he even believed he was second only to Rayleigh. Interestingly, he first appeared in the manga much earlier, during a flashback in chapter 19, and also featured in flashbacks about Oden and a cover story for chapter 631 with Crocus and Laboon. However, it’s the current Elbaf Arc that’s truly allowed him to shine and make a significant impact on the story.

Gaban demonstrated immense power by easily defeating Shepherd Sommers, who had been a major threat. He infused his axe with a powerful form of Haki and even managed to temporarily hinder Sommers’ ability to regenerate after decapitating him. During a practice fight with Luffy, Gaban kept pace until Luffy activated his Gear 5 transformation. Their fight against Gunko was cut short when she used Gaban’s son, Colon, as a hostage, but it’s likely Gaban would have put up a strong fight against her.

Roronoa Zoro

The Second-Strongest Straw Hat Gets Even Stronger

Regarding Gaban, he was the one who revealed to Zoro that he’s capable of using Conqueror’s Haki. While Zoro demonstrated this powerful and rare ability during the Wano Country arc, he didn’t even realize he possessed it – which is typical for him!

Kaido first recognized Zoro’s power when he was hit with the Ashura Bakkei: Moja no Tawamure attack. Zoro then fully unleashed this technique during his fight with King, channeling it through all three of his swords in an impressive move. This quick adaptation proved effective, and Zoro ultimately defeated King after a grueling battle.

I have a strong feeling Zoro is going to be incredibly important as the Elbaf Arc continues. With Imu and the Knights of God showing up, things are already looking really difficult for Elbaf. Having Zoro, alongside Luffy and Sanji – the rest of the Monster Trio – there could really shift the balance of power and give them a fighting chance.

Monkey D. Luffy

The Future Pirate King is Part of a Select Few

From the start of One Piece, it was clear Luffy was different. But what truly sets the Straw Hat captain apart isn’t just his optimistic attitude or big dreams. Beyond having what could be the most crucial and potent Devil Fruit power in the entire series, Luffy is one of the few characters currently alive who can master all three types of Haki.

Luffy is exceptionally skilled with all three types of Haki – Armament, Observation, and Supreme King Haki. This demonstrates he has the inherent qualities of a leader, placing him among a rare few in the world of One Piece. He initially used Supreme King Haki without realizing it, such as when he protected Marguerite from Sandersonia on Amazon Lily and, more famously, when he knocked out numerous marines during the attempt to rescue Ace at Marineford. However, with training from Rayleigh, Luffy has learned to fully control and utilize the power of his Supreme King Haki.

Luffy’s journey to Elbaf is sure to be filled with difficult battles. Considering the immense power Imu and the World Government demonstrated during the God Valley Incident, it’s likely we’ll see a preview of a future showdown between Luffy and the World Government’s leader. Elbaf could give us a glimpse of how a fight between two masters of Supreme Haki would unfold, even if the ultimate confrontation isn’t happening just yet.

Imu

One Piece’s Final Big Bad?

Imu isn’t physically on Elbaf, but is causing major problems there by controlling Gunko. When Imu first took control, their incredibly powerful Haki affected many giants nearby, and even impacted members of the Straw Hat crew, along with Scopper Gaban and Loki.

Imu is on a completely different level than even the most powerful figures like the Knights of God and the Five Elders. Although he hasn’t had much screen time in the manga, his incredibly powerful Domi Reversi ability, combined with his mastery of both Observation and Supreme King Haki, makes it clear he’s a massive threat – not just to the Straw Hats and the people of Elbaf, but to the entire world.
