Key Takeaways

  • Significant deaths in the Final Saga of One Piece will impact the story and characters.
  • Notable characters like Vegapunk and Nefertari Cobra are killed by powerful enemies.
  • Deaths of prominent figures like Monkey D. Garp and Eustass Kid may greatly impact the future storyline.

As a seasoned One Piece enthusiast, I must say that the events unfolding in this captivating narrative are nothing short of heart-wrenching. Garp, a legendary figure and one of Luffy’s most revered mentors, is on the brink of his final moments. Although official confirmation remains elusive, it seems highly unlikely that he will escape the clutches of fate unscathed.

In simple terms, we’ve moved into the climactic phase of “One Piece”, where the tension is higher than ever. Characters who haven’t been in the spotlight yet will get their chance to contribute significantly to the storyline. However, not everyone may reach their desired goals in this final act.

In the grand saga of “One Piece”, some characters may not survive and will no longer reappear, while others might lose their lives at the hands of their adversaries. However, author Oda tends to avoid unnecessary character deaths, so every demise during this final arc is purposeful and will have a profound impact on the storyline in one form or another.

Revised on September 17, 2024, by Suzail Ahmad: The Egghead storyline has reached its end, and it can be confidently declared as one of the finest arcs in the series thus far. It was filled with unforgettable instances that will undoubtedly remain etched in the minds of fans.

In addition to the thrilling battles, the Egghead storyline also saw the demise of several significant characters. These losses are likely to impact the narrative and other characters down the line. Consequently, the list now encompasses all deaths that occurred during the Final Saga.

10 Dr. Vegapunk

Killed By: Kizaru

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

As a gamer immersed in this virtual world, I’d say that Dr. Vegapunk was the heart of the Egghead saga. This brilliant scientist resided on Egghead Isle, where he tirelessly conducted experiments aimed at improving life for people everywhere. Insatiably curious, Vegapunk dedicated his life to gathering knowledge, a quest that defined him.

Regrettably, Vegapunk’s insatiable curiosity led to his downfall. He delved into the mysteries of the Void Century, and when the Five Elders discovered this, they swiftly imposed punishment upon him. Despite the Straw Hats’ valiant efforts to shield Vegapunk, he was ultimately slain by Kizaru.

9 Guernica

Killed By: Kaido

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Agent Guernica was dispatched to Wano alongside a group of others, tasked with monitoring the unfolding events. Yet, higher-ups instructed him to terminate Luffy under any circumstances.

In the heat of Luffy’s duel with Kaido, I saw my chance and stepped in, trying to throw him off his game. It worked, giving Kaido an opening for a clean shot on young Luffy. That punch sent Luffy sprawling, leaving many believing he was no more. But luckily, he pulled through. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as fortunate. Kaido took advantage of my distraction and ended me with the Hassaikai.

8 Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn

Killed By: Imu

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

As a dedicated gamer, I assumed the role of Saint Jaygarcia, the divine figure overseeing Science and Defense. The task at hand was clear: I had to take down Dr. Vegapunk. So, I embarked on this mission with Admiral Kizaru, accompanied by a hundred Navy vessels, and set sail for Egghead Island.

Upon reaching Egghead Island, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn unleashed chaos with his Yokai abilities. However, as he began to tire, he sought aid from the Five Elders. Even with their assistance, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn was unable to eliminate Vegapunk swiftly. Instead, Vegapunk managed to broadcast a message worldwide, causing significant damage to Imu and the World Government’s plans. Consequently, Imu resolved to eliminate Saturn himself.

7 T-Bone

Killed By: An Unnamed Man

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Admiral T-Bone stood apart from many Marines due to his genuine concern for the welfare of common folks. His heart was tender and filled with empathy, which prompted him to consistently extend beyond the call of duty to assist those in distress. Additionally, T-Bone held a special affection towards his subordinates. In moments of injury among his fellow Marines, he would sacrifice parts of his uniform to bandage their wounds.

In the impoverished Pepe Kingdom, a Vice Admiral named T-Bone met his tragic demise at the hands of a destitute individual. It’s essential to understand that despite being a high-ranking military officer with the power to potentially defend himself, T-Bone chose not to act against the assailant because he recognized the person’s financial desperation and opted for compassion instead.

6 Donquixote Myosgard

Killed By: St. Figarland Garling

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Myosgard, a member of the illustrious Donquixote Family and a Celestial Dragon, once carried an air of arrogance about him. However, his perspective shifted significantly upon witnessing Otohime’s compassionate nature. During the grand event known as the Reverie, Myosgard chose to align himself with the common folk, which in turn led to numerous assaults directed towards Charlos, another Celestial Dragon.

Myosgard’s actions were met with disapproval, resulting in the anger of the God Knights. It was Saint Figarland Garling who ultimately apprehended and punished Myosgard by execution. His public crucifixion served as a warning to other Celestial Dragons considering allegiance to others over their own kind.

5 Nefertari Cobra

Killed By: Imu and Five Elders

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Nefertari Cobra, in the world of “One Piece”, held the throne of Alabasta, earning him recognition among the most notable rulers. Cobra was an exceptionally self-sacrificing individual, always putting the needs of his people first. His unwavering devotion to his kingdom was such that he was prepared to give up his life for its protection, a trait that sets him apart and places him on a unique list of benevolent leaders.

When Cobra journeyed to Marijoa for the Reverie, he didn’t anticipate his own demise. Upon requesting an audience with the Five Elders, they granted it. During their conversation, an unexpected visit from Imu left everyone in awe. After laying eyes on Imu, Cobra realized his days were numbered. Despite Sabo’s valiant efforts to safeguard him, even he was powerless against the combined might of the Five Elders and Imu.

4 Monkey D. Garp (Possibly)

Killed By: Blackbeard Pirates

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Characterized by popularity within the world of “One Piece,” Monkey D. Garp stands out. Despite holding the rank of Navy Vice Admiral, he was undeniably the most powerful figure within the organization. Equipped with proficiency over all three forms of Haki, this individual frequently employed them in battle scenarios.

In the Final Saga, Garp traveled to Hachinosu, a stronghold of the Blackbeard Pirates. His mission was to save his protege from the pirate grasp. Unfortunately, matters turned challenging as the Blackbeard Pirates enjoyed Kuzan’s backing. The pirates deceived Garp and wounded him severely, setting the stage for Kuzan to freeze him. Although it hasn’t been definitively proven, Garp’s survival seems highly improbable at this point.

3 Eustass Kid (Potential)

Killed By: Shanks

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Eustass Kid led the Kid Pirates, a group from the infamous Worst Generation, who significantly contributed to Big Mom’s downfall in Wano. Following their victory, Kid and his comrades journeyed towards Elbaf. It seems plausible that they were on a quest for another Road Poneglyph, as such artifacts could guide them to the fabled One Piece.

Initially, Eustass Kid was making his way towards Elbaf, but he encountered the Red Hair Pirates who halted his progress. Swiftly, Shanks engaged Kid in combat, leading to Kid and most of his crew suffering defeat. To make matters worse, they also destroyed Kid’s vessel. Since Kid is a Devil Fruit user without a ship, it seems unlikely that he will endure in the sea.

2 Vegapunk’s Satellites

Killed By: Seraphim and York

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Dr. Vegapunk has found himself right in the middle of events during the Egghead storyline. This brilliant scientist made a move against the World Government that led to their response. Consequently, the World Government dispatched agents from CP0 to eliminate him. Beyond the danger posed by CP0, both Dr. Vegapunk and his team have had to contend with the Seraphim and a betrayer.

Over the course of this journey, there have been numerous attempts made on Vegapunk’s life, with only a few managing to be lethal. Regrettably, two of his valuable satellites, Shaka and Pythoragoras, have fallen in these attempts. It is hoped that their sacrifice will not be in vain and enable the main body to survive.

1 Ginny

Killed By: Sapphire Scale Disease

One Piece: Every Character Who Has Died In The Final Saga

Ginny is a fresh character appearing in “One Piece”. We first saw her during Kuma’s backstory. Despite growing up in terrible, grim circumstances, she managed to keep on living with the belief that things would eventually get better. In no time at all, Ginny developed a strong bond with Kuma. Initially, she wanted to marry him, but Kuma refused because he didn’t want her to endure the same cruel treatment his parents did.

Eventually, Ginny rose through ranks to become one of the Commanders in the Revolutionary Army, earning affection from all. Tragically, a Celestial Dragon abducted her and compelled her into marriage. Despite this forced union, she was expelled from Marijoa after just a few years. She contracted an illness called Sapphire Scale, thought to be incurable at the time. With her remaining days, Ginny sought out Kuma and the Revolutionary Army in the Sorbet Kingdom. Unfortunately, she passed away within the church walls due to the illness.
