One Piece: Every New Straw Hat Power Up In The Final Saga

The Straw Hat Pirates are the main focus of the final story arc in One Piece. Their goal is to sail around the entire world – something no pirate crew has done since the Roger Pirates – and reach the legendary Laugh Tale island to find the ultimate treasure, the One Piece. They’ve already become one of the four most powerful pirate groups, known as the Yonko, and are continuing to grow stronger. Expect even more impressive power-ups as the story unfolds, especially during the upcoming Elbaph arc and beyond.

Super Vega Cola

  • User: Franky

Recently, Franky received a fascinating power boost during the Elbaph arc thanks to Dr. Vegapunk’s Omni Drain Converters (ODC). These devices can take any kind of energy and change it into a usable form. Specifically, the ODC absorbed all the heat from Elbaph and transformed it into Super Vega Cola, which Franky then drank.

I watched as Franky drank this new cola, and the change was incredible. His strength shot up – he one-shotted an MMA fighter created by Saint Killingham with a single hit! He was already strong enough to easily defeat someone like Sasaki, but now he’s reached a point where he can go toe-to-toe with the strongest commanders of the Yonko. What’s even more concerning is that he can also use this ‘Super Vega Cola’ to power up his Shogun. Honestly, Franky’s power level has jumped so much, he’s a completely different threat now. He’s on a whole new level.

Mini Gear 4

  • User: Monkey D. Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy, the main character, is still getting stronger even though he’s already one of the most powerful pirates, a Yonko. This makes sense, as he’s preparing to face incredibly strong opponents like Nerona Imu in the final arc of the story. While Luffy has gained several power boosts recently, one that hasn’t gotten much attention is his Mini Gear 4 form.

Luffy first accessed Gear 4 during the Dressrosa arc, though he actually developed it during the two years of training between arcs. He’s become so skilled with it that, like with Gear 2 and 3, he can now control where the power goes in his body. Instead of covering his whole body with Gear 4 and using all of his Haki, Luffy can now focus the power into just one arm or leg. This lets him maintain his Haki for longer, making him more efficient in battle and giving him a significant advantage – it’s one of his most impressive power-ups yet.

Upgraded Ifrit Jambe

  • User: Sanji

Eiichiro Oda often gives the Straw Hat Pirates hidden strengths – like the Mini Gear 4 for Luffy. Sanji recently received a similar boost: he can now use Ifrit Jambe without fully activating his exoskeleton. Normally, Sanji needs his exoskeleton to withstand the intense heat of Ifrit Jambe and protect his body. The flames are incredibly powerful, and he could only access them before by combining the exoskeleton with his advanced Haki skills.

During the Elbaph arc, Sanji demonstrated an improved mastery of his Ifrit Jambe technique. He can now access its power without activating his exoskeleton, indicating his Haki has become strong enough to maintain a more intense heat without fully unleashing his abilities. This also means Ifrit Jambe becomes significantly more powerful when he does activate his exoskeleton, as seen in his fight with Saint Killingham. Sanji defeated Killingham with a single blow, dismissing him as insignificant despite the Holy Knight’s immortality and regenerative abilities.

Refined Conqueror’s Haki

  • Users: Zoro and Luffy

Conqueror’s Haki is a crucial ability in the final part of One Piece, and it’s especially important for both Luffy and Zoro. Luffy has already significantly improved his Haki, and we’re seeing even more development of it in the Elbaph Arc. While the author, Oda, has subtly been building up Luffy’s power, it’s becoming much clearer in Zoro’s case.

Zoro recently discovered he possesses Conqueror’s Haki, a powerful ability he wasn’t even aware of. Gaban pointed out that mastering Haki requires control to unlock its full potential. Since then, Zoro has been working on controlling his Conqueror’s Haki, which has led to a small but noticeable increase in his strength and effectiveness. As the story progresses, Zoro will continue to improve his control and refine this ability, bringing him closer in power to the strongest characters in the One Piece world, like the Yonko and the Admirals, and making it a key part of his growth.

Hito Hito No Mi Cleansing Power

  • User: Chopper

The Elbaph arc in One Piece made several Straw Hat Pirates stronger, including Chopper. Normally, Chopper uses his Devil Fruit powers to change into different forms, which increase his strength and speed. However, during the events on Elbaph, Chopper demonstrated a new ability within his Monster Point form that could counteract the effects of Imu’s Domi Reversi.

I was really surprised by this new ability Chopper showed off. It seems to let him extend his Devil Fruit powers outside of himself, which usually means he’s ‘awakened’ his fruit – a huge deal! We still need to learn more about exactly how it works, but right now, it’s easily one of the most impressive powers any of the Straw Hats have unlocked in this final part of their journey.

Voice Of All Things

  • User: Luffy

The ‘Voice of All Things’ is a powerful ability hinted at during the events at Sabaody Archipelago. Luffy began to awaken this ability around the time of the Fishman Island arc, and it has steadily grown stronger since the Elbaph arc. He’s now using it almost instinctively – he can even recognize voices from incredibly far distances and immediately knows who they belong to.

Luffy’s strength will keep increasing throughout the Elbaf arc, and he’ll need to fully control it by the Final Saga to be ready for the major battle ahead.
