As a long-time follower, I can say 2025 has been amazing for One Piece fans like me. It’s unusual to have both the anime and manga delivering such high-quality content at the same time! Right now, the anime is deep into the Egghead arc, and it’s been a really intense storyline with the Straw Hat crew battling some seriously strong opponents.
Currently, the One Piece manga is diving into the Elbaf arc, and it’s been incredibly well-received. A major reason for its success is the introduction of the Holy Knights, who are key antagonists in this arc. They work for Imu and are dedicated to carrying out their orders. From the moment they appeared, the Holy Knights made a strong impression on fans with their intimidating presence and powerful aura.

The official One Piece X (formerly Twitter) account recently revealed the cover art for volume 113 of the manga. The cover showcases Luffy, Scopper Gaban, and the Holy Knights. While many fans love the artwork, some are disappointed with the color scheme chosen for the Holy Knights. They had anticipated a darker, more villainous color palette, but the creator, Oda, opted for something brighter.
Fans have voiced their dissatisfaction with creator Oda’s decisions before. Previously, they disagreed with the colors chosen for Loki. When early footage appeared, it showed Oda had originally picked a more appealing color palette, which he later changed.
The Holy Knights’ color scheme is generally decent – Shamrock and Gunko look particularly good. However, Shepherd Sommers and Killingham’s colors feel a little strange. Since Oda has already chosen the colors, fans can only hope for better choices in the future.
The One Piece Manga Will Soon Turn Its Attention To Elbaf
The story is currently detailing the events of God Valley, but will soon shift back to the present day and the island of Elbaf. There, the Straw Hat Pirates will encounter a dangerous new challenge: they’ll have to defeat both the Holy Knights and Imu to prevent the total destruction of Elbaf.
The Holy Knights have been completely in control up until now, leaving the heroes with no room to fight back. However, fans still believe the Straw Hat Pirates can overcome the Knights and save their country.
