One Piece Final Straw Hat Confirmed by Oda, Not Loki

This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

Summary

  • Loki has bigger goals in One Piece & will rule Elbaf – he won’t join as the final Straw Hat.
  • Vivi, already a former member, or Gunko, a victim of Imu, are potential next Straw Hats.
  • Chapter 1151 of One Piece will be available internationally on June 8, 2025.

The story arc featuring Elbaf in One Piece holds significant importance, as it serves as a precursor to the impending Great War. The tension is escalating dramatically, with major conflicts erupting everywhere within the universe of One Piece.

Considering the challenges facing the Straw Hat Pirates at present, it’s only logical that they need to perform optimally throughout the upcoming story arcs. This situation also hints that a new member will soon join their crew, filling the vacancy. While some fans speculate Loki could be the one, it seems more probable that someone else will join the team.

Why Loki Isn’t The Final Straw Hat

  • Loki Has Bigger Goals In One Piece
  • Loki Will Rule Elbaf

It’s evident that numerous fans are pushing for Loki to become part of the Straw Hat Pirates, yet this scenario seems unlikely. Despite his impressive power, Loki has significant commitments elsewhere. Instead, Loki’s primary ambition is to emulate Nika – a world destroyer. However, it’s important to note that Loki’s interpretation of Nika as a world-ender is misguided.

I am the Sun God and I will destroy the world! — Loki

After resolving matters in Elbaf, Loki will cease his pursuit of global destruction and instead become an ally of Nika. He won’t venture out to sea anymore. Instead, his mission will be to safeguard the nation, now that the danger from the World Government is evident. Without Loki, Elbaf lacks a protector. Although Hajrudin is powerful, he isn’t sufficient to save the country alone. This is the primary reason why Loki should remain and assume the role of the next King of Elbaf, potentially ruling alongside Hajrudin.

Vivi Or Gunko Could Join The Straw Hat Pirates

Gunko Is A Slave Of Imu And Vivi Is Already A Straw Hat

For the time being, the most suitable addition to the Straw Hat Pirates appears to be Vivi. Fans remember that Vivi has previously traveled with the crew, but due to current circumstances, she can’t return to Arabasta at the moment. Just before reaching Elbaf, Vivi sent a signal to the Straw Hat Pirates, indicating her safety and possibly suggesting a reunion. It’s almost certain that Vivi and Luffy will meet up again, and considering the threat Imu poses to her, it’s highly likely that Vivi will soon become a member of the Straw Hats.

If we meet again in the future, would you still call me your friend? — Vivi

Gunko Has Nowhere To Go

Concurrently, it’s plausible that Gunko may join the Straw Hat Pirates next. Given that fans are aware of her tragic past at the hands of Imu and the Celestial Dragons – she was kidnapped, brainwashed, and forced to be a Holy Knight. Her bond with Brook strengthens her case as a potential final Straw Hat member. Additionally, it’s anticipated that Imu will be defeated in this arc, potentially freeing Gunko, who may find the Straw Hat Pirates as her new home due to her lack of alternatives.
