One Piece: How Elbaf Could Be Luffy's Next Training Arc

As a long-time One Piece fan and aficionado of Luffy’s incredible journey, I can confidently say that the upcoming Elbaf arc is going to be a game-changer for our beloved Straw Hat Captain. This arc will serve not as a traditional training ground but as a battleground where Luffy will learn from his experiences and grow stronger than ever before.

This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Egghead Arc.

The anime “One Piece” has reached its Final Act, and things are about to get even more thrilling! Oda, the creator, has expressed his eagerness for this part of the tale, as it’s the one he’s most looking forward to illustrating. Since Elbaf, an arc that’s been foreshadowed for decades, promises to be incredibly captivating, fans are eagerly anticipating its unfolding. Given the high expectations surrounding it, the series is poised to deliver a spectacular climax.

Indeed, the Elbaf Arc will undoubtedly be multifaceted in its objectives. Nevertheless, one significant aim this arc is likely to achieve is helping Luffy become even more powerful. Although Luffy is currently at the pinnacle of his Devil Fruit abilities, there’s still potential for growth, making Elbaf an excellent opportunity for Luffy’s training in various aspects.

Luffy’s Status Of Yonko And What It Means For His Strength

  • Luffy Beat Kaido In Wano
  • Luffy Became A Yonko After The Onigashima War

Following the Wano Country Arc, Luffy has significantly boosted his strength and power. Now, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Luffy is one of the most powerful pirates in the world of One Piece, with only a few others capable of matching him in battle. Luffy’s might is nothing short of breathtaking, and the fact that he possesses a highly potent Devil Fruit which materializes his thoughts makes it impossible to predict how strong he can ultimately become. Moreover, Luffy has command over an incredibly powerful form of Haki. His Haki is so robust that except for the Yonko and those at their level, few can challenge him. This combination makes Luffy a truly formidable pirate. However, as demonstrated during the Egghead Island Arc, his strength alone isn’t sufficient to bring down the World Government or free those suffering from misery.

They’ve announced who they are calling the New Emperors! – Apoo

1. To fully shoulder the responsibilities of Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom, Luffy needs to become significantly stronger and more skilled. This means outgrowing even the powerful Yonko of the One Piece world. In simpler terms, it is only after Luffy surpasses these mighty pirates that he will be ready for the task of properly liberating the world.

Now, this certainly does not mean that Luffy is not worthy of fulfilling the Will of D at this point in time. He certainly is plenty powerful and there is absolutely no denying that. Luffy might even beat some elites of the World Government, such as the Elders. However, it was clear for the fans to see previously that Luffy’s strength, especially in terms of his Haki, needs to be higher if he is to do what Joy Boy couldn’t.

Luffy’s Training In Elbaf Will See Him Get Even Stronger As A Pirate

Luffy Will Boost His Conqueror’s Haki Further

In the upcoming storyline, known as the “Elbaf Arc,” Luffy will have to demonstrate his worth to figures like Shanks, along with other powerful beings. It’s important to mention that this place is famously called the “Warlands,” which means it’s inhabited by the strongest individuals who live and thrive there. For Luffy to progress further on his adventure, he needs to display sufficient strength to win their praise and prove himself as a capable fighter within Elbaf.

But, at the same time, fans also know that Luffy is someone who picks up lessons along the way. He is strong, but he is not the strongest, and anything that Luffy can pick up from someone else in the story is something that will help him reach an even higher level of strength. This is why Elbaf is going to be a training arc for Luffy. Now, this doesn’t mean that Luffy will be trained by someone. This simply means that Luffy will be intuitive enough in the battles that he fights in Elbaf to grow even further in terms of strength and reach a new tier entirely. In this manner, one can say that Elbaf will have plenty of characters for Luffy to learn from.

Was that Haki even greater than that of Red Hair’s? – Dorry and Brogy

Among all characters, Shanks stands out as a remarkable figure, particularly in terms of Haki. With the exception of Roger and Joy Boy, who are unfortunately deceased, Shanks is arguably the most skilled. Luffy’s Haki is indeed potent, but it pales in comparison to that of Joy Boy. When Luffy eventually faces Shanks, as seems inevitable during an upcoming arc, he will gain a profound understanding of what it truly means to master powerful Haki and learn how to surpass his current abilities.

As a gamer, I’m pumped about my newfound Haki! It’s going to make me stronger, and it’ll be crucial for the battles ahead. In the final act of Egghead Island Arc, fans noticed that Haki is essentially the Achilles’ heel of the Elders, including Imu. While Luffy already has potent Haki, it’s not strong enough to take them down at the moment. To defeat them, I need my Haki to grow, and it needs to reach a level similar to Joy Boy. That’s where Shanks comes in – he’ll undoubtedly help me refine my Haki even more!

Luffy’s Next Level Of Power In One Piece

Luffy Will Become A Master Of Haki And Devil Fruit

In essence, as Luffy further develops his Haki, he is expected to surpass all others in strength within the “One Piece” series. His abilities with Devil Fruits are already exceptional, second to very few. Despite being a strong character in terms of devil fruit powers, Luffy’s main limitation lies in his own imagination. At his peak with Gear 5, his power is immense. However, while he has made significant strides with his Devil Fruit abilities, mastering Haki and surpassing Shanks could be his next challenge. Once Luffy achieves this feat, he will undeniably become the strongest character in “One Piece,” capable of fulfilling what Joy Boy couldn’t and embodying the Will of D.

By the finale of the series, it’s likely that Luffy will outmatch even Joy Boy and establish himself as the strongest character ever. While Luffy doesn’t aim to be the strongest, his objective is to achieve freedom above all else. To accomplish this, he needs wealth, recognition, and power. In terms of power particularly, Luffy needs to be so strong that he can safeguard his own freedom and that of those dear to him, a feat which necessitates reaching the pinnacle of the current era.

It’s likely that the progress we’ll see from Luffy in the next several chapters of One Piece will be thrilling for him, and the insights he gains during this journey may bring him close to attaining a power level equivalent to Joy Boy.

Fans can access One Piece, the popular series, through Viz Media. Officially and at no cost, it’s available on both Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps for reading enjoyment. Mark your calendars as the release date for chapter 1125 of One Piece is scheduled for September 8, 2024.
