In the world of One Piece, the Marine Corps is renowned as one of the most powerful organizations. While it boasts a massive workforce numbering in the thousands, it’s important to note that not every member holds the same rank or possesses the same level of strength. Some Marines, indeed, stand out as being significantly stronger than their peers.

Specifically, Admirals are often regarded as the Marine Corps’ most formidable assets, and so far, they’ve hardly given their fans a moment to question this assertion. During the Egghead arc in One Piece, viewers have had the chance to witness Admiral Kizaru in combat. For quite some time, he was built up as an exceptional fighter, and the latest episodes have made it clear why.

Kizaru’s Clones Are Extremely Powerful

One Of Them Was Able To Hurt Luffy

  • The clones can act freely
  • They can use different attacks

In One Piece’s Episode 1127, Kizaru faced off against Luffy for the first time post-timeskip. Previously, the Admiral had outmaneuvered Luffy on two occasions, but this time it was a different story. Luffy’s power has significantly increased, enabling him to engage in combat with an Admiral. Initially, Luffy attempted to overpower Kizaru using Snakeman, but that tactic didn’t work. Consequently, he resorted to utilizing the power of Gear 5th, his most potent form. Upon being caught and thrown off by a gigantified Luffy, Kizaru recognized that there was no room for mistakes anymore.

In essence, the Admiral employed Yasaka no Magatama as a protective measure against sinking into the waters. Following this, he utilized the luminous orbs to generate several copies of himself, which then assaulted Luffy. Initially, the pirate was taken aback by Kizaru’s innovative tactic and found it challenging to comprehend the true essence of the maneuver. Later, Luffy likened this technique to the holograms he had previously encountered on the island and Perona’s Hollows.

Kizaru Used His Clones To Trick Luffy

It appears that Kizaru’s duplicates demonstrated some level of self-awareness, given their ability to target Luffy individually. They worked seamlessly with Kizaru, aiding him in overcoming Luffy’s defenses. One even managed to inflict a cut with its assault. Nevertheless, they were no challenge for Luffy, who swiftly defeated them all using the Dawn Stamp.

It seems likely that if Luffy had eliminated the clones, they would have posed a formidable threat to anyone weaker than him. In other words, these clones are a powerful asset in Kizaru’s arsenal, capable of overpowering Yonko Commanders with relative ease.

Luffy Vs. Kizaru Will Decide Vegapunk’s Fate

In terms of raw power, the two combatants seem equally matched, but it’s clear that Luffy outshines Kizaru significantly. Although Luffy is currently utilizing Gear 5th, he hasn’t deployed Advanced Conqueror’s Haki during their skirmish, which is quite unusual given its immense power in his arsenal. It was Luffy who successfully breached Kaido’s almost impregnable defense with Conqueror’s Haki, so not employing it against Kizaru seems illogical. If Luffy decides to wield it in the next episode, Kizaru will likely meet his end.

At this juncture, Luffy’s exhaustion from using Gear 5th may be the Admiral’s only chance for victory. Previously, we’ve witnessed several times where Luffy needs to recuperate post-Gear 5th activation. If he does tire out, Vegapunk’s escape would seem highly unlikely, as he’d have no choice but to confront Egghead and the majority of the satellites, all except York, would meet their demise. However, it’s a significant assumption that Luffy will exhaust himself, and more likely than not, he’ll conclude the battle in the upcoming episode, without needing to rest.

Saint Jaygarcia Saturn Will Join The Fray

So far, Jaygarcia Saturn had been a passive observer, letting Kizaru and others take charge. However, when Kizaru encountered difficulties, the Deity of Science & Defense is set to intervene actively. Based on the sneak peek for Episode 1128, it appears that Jaygarcia Saturn will appear with an enigmatic summoning circle.

The source of Jaygarcia Saturn’s power might remain unclear, but it won’t take long until it becomes evident. Consequently, the Straw Hats and Vegapunk may need to adapt their plan for leaving Egghead Island based on how formidable his strength turns out to be.
