How Luffy Can Be Overwhelmed By Imu
Similar to how Imu controlled Rocks, they might be able to control Loki by using thread-like powers, turning him into a puppet. This could force the arrival of Nika, the God of Liberation, in Elbaf. However, Elbaf has a history of rejecting Loki due to his destructive nature. If Imu were to puppet Loki, he wouldn’t be able to save Elbaf – instead, Nika would defeat him and become the savior. This would mean Loki’s story wouldn’t have a satisfying conclusion, as the people wouldn’t be saved by him.
I’ve been thinking about where the story is headed with Loki, and I really believe he needs to step up as a defender of his country, particularly against someone like Imu. It feels like Domi Reversi might get sidelined in Elbaf, and Imu will likely win their fight – not to defeat them permanently, but to show everyone they aren’t prepared for this level of threat yet. Up until now, Luffy has just been crushing every enemy in the Final Saga. Seeing Imu actually beat Luffy, and give him a harsh dose of reality, would dramatically raise the stakes and make things much more compelling.
Assessing Loki’s True Role In Defending His Country
Loki’s main purpose in the Elbaf arc is to become the country’s savior and prove himself to the people who once blamed him for everything that went wrong. The people of Elbaf used to believe Loki caused all their misfortunes, but now, when they need help the most, he’s the one who will rescue them.

If Imu were to manipulate him into destroying Elbaf, it would confirm all their fears about Loki – and that’s exactly what needs to be avoided. Instead, Loki needs to become Elbaf’s protector and hero, gaining the trust and affection of everyone there.
Analyzing The Role Of Sun God Nika In The Arc’s Climax
Ultimately, the Sun God Nika is destined to defeat Imu. However, if they were to fight too early, like in Elbaf, Nika might actually lose. If Imu were to win that fight, it would create a chance for characters like Loki and the Straw Hat Pirates to step up and help defend Elbaf, especially if Luffy is unable to do so.
This would significantly increase the tension of the current storyline, completely changing the focus. Instead of Luffy being central, Loki, the Giants, and the rest of the Straw Hat crew would take on more important roles. This challenge would be a wake-up call for Luffy, forcing him to become even stronger as he prepares for a future showdown with Imu when the major conflict begins. While things look difficult for Luffy in Elbaf, these hardships will ultimately make him more powerful and improve the story as a whole.
