This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf arc.
Summary
- Road Poneglyphs pinpoint Laugh Tale
- Laugh Tale isn’t at end of Grand Line
- Laugh Tale could be inside the Red Line
In the realm of One Piece, I’ve found myself awestruck by the enigma and secrets it holds. It’s no secret that one of the most elusive mysteries in this series is the whereabouts of the Final Island, Laugh Tale, a place only the Roger Pirates were able to discover in ages past. The location of this island remains a mystery, known only to those who have set foot there. It’s common knowledge among fans that the fabled One Piece treasure lies on Laugh Tale itself.
In the final stage of the One Piece saga, it won’t be long until Eiichiro Oda uncovers the whereabouts of Laugh Tale, and with it, the mysteries surrounding the treasure that Joy Boy concealed. However, those who closely examine the series might argue that Oda has possibly already hinted at the location of Laugh Tale within One Piece itself.
The Road Poneglyphs And Laugh Tale’s Location
- The Road Poneglyphs Point At Laugh Tale
- Roger Reached The Final Island
For a significant part of the narrative, fans assumed that Laugh Tale was located at the end of the Grand Line. This notion was shared by the Straw Hat Pirates based on Crocus’ information. However, if Laugh Tale were indeed at the end of the Grand Line, it’s puzzling why more pirates hadn’t discovered it. In the Xou arc, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi clarified that Laugh Tale is not situated at the end of the Grand Line. Instead, there is a final island at the end of this grand sea route, but it’s not Laugh Tale. To reach Laugh Tale, one must find four Road Poneglyphs that point to specific locations. The intersection where these Road Poneglyphs meet is where Laugh Tale can be found.
To reach the Final Island, Laugh Tale, you must first discover all four Road Poneglyphs. This is what Inuarashi told the Straw Hats.
During a flashback set on Oden’s island, Roger disclosed that the destination at the terminus of the Grand Line was none other than Lodestar Island. It was here where Roger and his comrades discovered the secrets of Poneglyphs and the final island. With no doubt, Lodestar Island will play a pivotal role in One Piece. However, it’s also widely acknowledged that the ultimate objective is Laugh Tale, which isn’t located at the end of the Grand Line but rather somewhere else entirely.
Why Laugh Tale Might Be Inside The Red Line
There Could Be A Hollow Space Inside The Red Line
There are numerous theories floating around about where the elusive Final Island, Laugh Tale, can be found. For example, one widely held notion proposes that Laugh Tale might be submerged beneath the ocean. On the other hand, a more intriguing theory posits that Laugh Tale could reside within the boundaries of the Red Line itself. This concept may appear unusual, but it carries a certain logic to it. First off, the idea of concealed nations existing shouldn’t come as a shock. For instance, in Impel Down, Newkama Land was built secretly inside the prison, nestled between Levels 5 and 6, away from the watchful eyes of guards. Similarly, Sabo and his comrades managed to infiltrate Marijoa by hiding beneath the Red Line and almost establishing a sanctuary there. Going back to the Reverse Mountain arc, Crocus was living right inside Laboon, further demonstrating that inhabiting enclosed spaces is indeed possible.
Essentially, you could say that Sunlight Tree Eve holds a significant position, much like a leader or head honcho within the Yarukiman Mangrove, as compared to King Neptune by Usopp.
In simpler terms, residing within the boundaries of the largest continent isn’t out of the question, given the established concept by Oda. This notion can be understood by considering the Sunlight Tree Eve, which carries light and air from the surface to Fishman Island, located 10,000 meters below the ocean. Since Fishman Island is situated beneath Marijoa, it logically follows that the Sunlight Tree Eve should extend beyond the Red Line, reaching the surface. If this tree can pass through the Red Line, then it’s reasonable to assume there exists a region within the Red Line that benefits from the light and air provided by the Sunlight Tree Eve. This region could potentially lie between Marijoa and Fishman Island, and it is here where Laugh Tale might be hidden.
Why Nobody Has Reached Laugh Tale After Roger
Getting To The Island Needs Precise Coordinates
From an outside perspective, if Laugh Tale indeed lies within the Red Line, it becomes an insurmountable challenge for most pirates to reach, explaining why Roger was the first in 800 years to set foot on the island. This raises curiosity among fans as to why no one else has stumbled upon this place during their lives, but considering Laugh Tale’s location within the Red Line, it becomes plausible. The more pressing question now is how one can breach the Red Line? Oda has already hinted at the solution in the Egghead Arc. It turns out that there are unique doors within One Piece through which one can pass unseen, a concept demonstrated by Vegapunk’s extensive use of these walls throughout the Egghead Labophase. People would appear to phase in from one side, while the other side seemed solidly rocky. Similarly, Vegapunk had concealed the junkyard behind such walls, making it accessible only through phased passages.
It’s reasonable to infer that Vegapunk’s technology originates from the Ancient Kingdom. If Vegapunk possesses this ability, it’s plausible that the Ancient Kingdom also had it. Given that inhabitants of the Final Island share similarities with Vegapunk, they might have possessed this power too. There could be spots along the Red Line which can be effortlessly passed through, but only at particular locations and from a single direction. This seemingly unique method may serve as the only way to access Laugh Tale.
