In the 1148th installment of “One Piece,” the action was nothing short of breathtaking and left fans buzzing with anticipation. The chapter primarily centered around Robin’s confrontation with Sommers, but it also offered a glimpse into the dire state of Elbaf at present, stirring emotions among fans.
The Holy Knights have placed the Giants in a critical predicament, where a single misstep could essentially spell doom for the upcoming generation of their nation. Yet, this perilous state of the Holy Knights suggests they’re hastening their own demise, and indeed, that’s exactly what transpired. In One Piece chapter 1148, we finally witness the first Holy Knight collapsing, and it seems the others may follow soon after.
The Holy Knights And Their Mission In Elbaf
- The Holy Knights Have to Bring Elbaf To Heel
- Elbaf Is In A Dangerous Position Right Now
Initially, Gunko and Shamrock Figarland, two Holy Knights, made their debut in Elbaf. They openly declared their intention to subjugate Elbaf under the authority of the World Government. As per Shamrock’s words, the Giants of Elbaf were once powerful enough to dominate the entire New World, demonstrating their colossal power. This strength is what attracts the World Government, as they covet the Giants’ power. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, it appears that the World Government has decided to use force to convince the Giants to join them.
Burn down your schools and libraries, and bow down to the World Government! — Sommers
To guarantee loyalty from the Giants, the Holy Knights seized the Giants’ children as hostages. They threatened the Giants by putting their children’s lives at risk, forcing them to pledge allegiance to the World Government. Simultaneously, these children were to be relocated to the Sacred Land of Marijoa, ensuring that the Giants of Elbaf would remain faithful to the World Government indefinitely.
Indeed, while certain Giants succumbed under these dire circumstances, others chose to put up a valiant resistance. Specifically, Nico Robin stood her ground and fought fiercely against Saint Sommers in the One Piece manga, chapter 1148. However, she was unable to overcome him because of his unique immortality trait.
Scopper Gaban Defeats The First Holy Knight — Saint Sommers
Gaban One-shots Saint Sommers
Robin gave a remarkable performance against Sommers, but ultimately failed to defeat him due to Sommers’ immortal nature. Since Sommers and the Holy Knights can recover from any harm and are essentially immortal, it’s generally futile to fight them. However, Scopper Gaban is an exceptional fighter with unique skills. He has learned to counteract the immortality of Imu, the Five Elders, and the Holy Knights, which allowed him to quickly overcome Sommers.
It’s been a long time, Sommers! — Gaban
Gaban severed Sommers’s hand and followed by cutting open Sommers’s chest using Supreme King Haki, a move presumably targeted at Sommers’s very essence. To Gaban, Sommers posed no challenge whatsoever, demonstrating the extent of his power. Consequently, Sommers is no longer in the fight as he suffered a disabling injury to his hand and a potentially lethal wound.
Will The Other Holy Knights Fall Too?
At present, Gunko and Saint Killingham find themselves in Elbaf, but their dominance must cease in the impending chapters for the sake of Elbaf’s future and the children they oversee. It is crucial to recall that Gunko wields power over the young ones, while Killingham lurks behind the monstrous elements within Elbaf. The downfall of both characters seems inevitable, with Scopper Gaban appearing poised to bring them down. As fans, all we can do is eagerly anticipate and delight in the grand spectacle that this legendary monster will undoubtedly present us.
