As a dedicated One Piece fan, I must say that the Egghead Island Arc has truly exceeded all my expectations and then some! Unlike most starting arcs in a story’s saga, which can often be on the slower side and not generate much excitement among fans, this arc has proven to be a captivating exception. It has effortlessly surpassed what one would typically anticipate from an initial arc, making it a truly remarkable experience for us fans!

Despite initial assumptions, Egghead exceeded all predictions and brought unprecedented levels of thrill and intensity. The action was heart-pounding, the characters were deeply emotional, and there were stunning revelations about the Void Century that left us speechless. A key part of the Egghead Island storyline revolved around a character from the Void Century, known as Joy Boy, who has been confirmed by Oda to be the strongest character in the series thus far.

The Strongest Characters Of One Piece Over The Years

In the universe of One Piece, a multitude of powerful figures have been brought to light for fans. Since the show’s inception, certain characters were marked out as the most potent. Regrettably, several of these once-proclaimed strongest individuals have met their end, while others find themselves past their peak. However, there are still characters who are currently at their zenith, vying for the title of the strongest character yet.

The Yonko are the most elite pirates on the seas! – Garp

  • Roger: The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger was the only man who completed the circumnavigation of the entire world and, at the same time, found the One Piece. Roger received all three of wealth, fame, and power, the last of which cannot be emphasized enough. Roger was the strongest of his time, and this is quite clear for the fans to see. Even the great Whitebeard draws comparison to Roger and one of his biggest feats is matching the pirate Roger in battle. According to Kaido, Roger brought the whole world to heel using nothing but his Haki. Of course, fans even got to see a bit of his strength in the Oden flashback, and there, it was quite clear to see that he was overwhelmingly powerful and could even match Whitebeard while he was suffering from a deadly illness.
  • Whitebeard: Wielding the title of the World’s Strongest Man, Whitebeard was a ferocious pirate, and he could essentially destroy the entire world. On top of that, he also had devastatingly powerful Haki, and using all of his powers, he could match Roger in battle. He is one of the few individuals known to be strong enough to be able to do that, and that just goes to show how strong Whitebeard truly was. Even when he was suffering from an illness, he was strong enough to destroy Marineford, as fans saw in the Paramount War.
  • Garp: The Hero of the Navy, Garp is among the strongest in One Piece. Just like Roger, he did not have any Devil Fruit power and his strength solely came from his Haki. Garp is a monster who was known to be strong enough to corner the Pirate King. Roger himself admitted that Garp and he had almost killed each other on many occasions, which just puts him on the same level as the Pirate King.

Recently, spectators caught a glimpse of Garp in his advanced age, displaying an almost solo victory against the formidable Blackbeard Pirate Commanders. Even though he’s well past his peak, this battle suggests just how powerful Garp would have been during his prime years.

  • The Yonko: Of course, there are also the other Yonko in One Piece who fans know to be very powerful. For instance, Kaido was the strongest creature and many even called him the strongest pirate alive. He was an absolute menace, and not easily taken down. Everything about him, from his Haki to his Devil Fruit, was overpowered. Big Mom, meanwhile, was comparable to Kaido in terms of strength, as a Yonko should be. There Is also Blackbeard, who’s known to hold two overpowered Devil Fruits, but his Haki capabilities remain unknown. Then, Luffy, who is the newest addition to the Yonko, possesses the Nika fruit, and on top of that, overpowered Haki. However, he is far from the strongest. There are also individuals such as Shanks, who can be described to be the strongest of this era. Shanks is in his peak at the moment, and much of that is derived from his overpowered Haki. His Haki might just be the strongest in One Piece at this point in time, but that certainly doesn’t mean that he was the strongest of all time as there certainly appear to be individuals on a much higher level than him.

Joy Boy’s Superior Strength Was Shown In One Piece 1122

Joy Boy Has The Mightiest Haki in One Piece

In chapter 1122 of “One Piece,” readers were introduced to what appears to be the strongest character in the series thus far: Joy Boy. We saw Emet wield Joy Boy’s Haki against Egghead, demonstrating an astonishing level of power. This Haki was previously sealed within Emet and was employed only when necessary. In this instance, Emet used it to save Luffy and the Strawhat crew from certain death. The force of this Haki was so immense that it left the majority of the Marines unconscious, with only Vice Admirals and above managing to stay awake. Even more surprising was the fact that all the Elders on the island were knocked out of their Yokai transformations, including Saturn’s summoning. This suggests that Joy Boy’s Haki is powerful enough to nullify Yokai powers and abilities like summoning.

I’ll seal my strongest Haki in you, Emet! – Joy Boy

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary events unfolding in One Piece. The Elders were escorted back to Marijoa, leaving only Saturn behind. But what truly left me awestruck was when Joy Boy demonstrated his Haki, tearing open the very skies on its own! This is an unprecedented feat in the series; usually, it takes two Haki users colliding for such a spectacle to occur. It’s clear that Joy Boy’s mastery of Haki surpasses anything we’ve seen so far. Yet, his power doesn’t stop there – this is just the tip of the iceberg for Joy Boy’s immense strength in One Piece.

Readers recognize that he consumed Nika Fruit, similar to Luffy, implying that aside from this, Joy Boy possessed Gear 5 to amplify his abilities. If there were any lingering doubts, they should be erased now, as this chapter makes it crystal clear that Joy Boy is undeniably the most powerful character encountered in One Piece thus far.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that you can officially read One Piece, my favorite series, through Viz Media! You don’t have to look for unofficial sources; just download the Shonen Jump or Manga Plus app and enjoy it for free. Mark your calendars for August 18, 2024, as that’s when the next chapter, One Piece 1123, will be released!
