One Piece: Oda Finally Confirms The Real Killer Of Rocks D. Xebec

Despite several recent breaks in the One Piece manga, the story is now progressing quickly with each new chapter. The author, Oda, has been detailing the God Valley Incident over the past few chapters, and it’s now coming to a climax in One Piece Chapter 1166.

Wow, chapter 1166 of One Piece totally blew my mind! We finally saw the end of Rocks D. Xebec, and Oda dropped a huge bombshell about who actually finished him off. I, like a lot of fans, assumed it was Garp and Roger working together, but it turns out neither of them delivered the final blow! Can you believe it? It was Figarland Garling, the Holy Knight! He was just standing there the whole fight, and then BAM – he’s the one who took Rocks down. That explains why he was the Champion of God Valley, and honestly, things are about to get seriously intense. I have a feeling Garling is going to be a major player, and one of the most dangerous guys in the final arc of One Piece!

Oda Confirms Rocks D. Xebec Killed By Garling Figarland In God Valley

Rocks D. Xebec was a compelling character from the moment he was introduced, and remained so throughout his story. Though Sengoku first mentioned him during the Wano arc, we didn’t actually meet Xebec until the Elbaf flashback.

As fans predicted, he was a truly unique character, and his performance during the flashback was excellent, especially considering his dedication to fulfilling Davy Jones’s request. While Xebec was strong, he wasn’t prepared to fight Imu at God Valley. During their battle, Imu used Domi Reversi to transform Xebec into a demon and forced him to pursue his own family.

This event effectively ended the Rocks Pirates. Unable to counter Imu’s abilities, Garp and Roger were forced to fight and defeat him. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Garp or Roger who delivered the final blow; Garling Figarland did. This explains why Garling was known as the Champion of God Valley, despite his lack of previous accomplishments.

Roger And Garp Were Still The Ones Who Damaged Him The Most

While Figarland Garling delivered the finishing strike that killed Rocks D. Xebec, he wasn’t the one who did the most damage during the fight – he didn’t even perform particularly well. Garling had actually been beaten by Rocks earlier. It was Roger and Garp who really hurt Xebec, landing powerful attacks using their Conqueror’s Haki.

Garling only managed to defeat Rocks D. Xebec because his opponents had already weakened him. At his power level during the God Valley incident, Garling couldn’t have won a one-on-one fight against Rocks. It’s now confirmed that Figarland Garling probably possesses Conqueror’s Haki – a necessary ability to overcome Rocks’s demon form – though this isn’t surprising, as all Elders are known to have it.

Figarland Garling Will Be A Major Antagonist In The Final Saga of One Piece

The God Valley arc has already given us glimpses into key figures like Roger, Garp, Rocks, and Imu. Now, Garling Figarland has also had his moment in the spotlight. While he initially appeared weaker, losing to Xebec, it’s important to remember that wasn’t his full potential.

Since the events at God Valley, Garling’s power and status have increased dramatically. He began as a regular Holy Knight, rose to become the leader of all Holy Knights, and now, after Saint Saturn’s passing, he’s become one of the Five Elders.

I have a strong feeling Oda has big things planned for Shanks and Shamrock’s father. It seems like Garling is going to be a really important villain, and I expect any fight he’s in will be a major moment in the final part of the story.
