Pirates are consistently among the most powerful fighters, and the current generation is no exception, with several particularly strong individuals emerging. As the story progresses, the author intends for this generation to truly define their time, and one pirate, in particular, is poised to lead the way.

Shanks Is Among The Mightiest Pirates of The Current Generation In One Piece

It’s well known that Redhaired Shanks is among the most powerful pirates sailing the seas today. Despite remaining relatively inactive for a long time, Shanks seems to be taking a more active role now, especially with the emergence of Nika. The events at Egghead offered a taste of his incredible strength, and future storylines in *One Piece* promise to reveal even more of his impressive abilities.

While Shanks doesn’t seem to have a Devil Fruit power, his Haki is incredibly strong – fans recognize that’s a key part of what makes him so formidable. This powerful Haki is what keeps him among the top pirates. However, other pirates are rapidly growing stronger, meaning Shanks, despite being very powerful now, won’t necessarily remain the strongest forever, and it’s possible someone could eventually surpass him.

Blackbeard Already Has Two Mighty Devil Fruits And He’s Looking for Another

Blackbeard is a remarkably unique pirate in the world of *One Piece*. Currently, Teach is one of the Four Emperors, and widely known as an extremely powerful fighter. He’s amassed a bounty of 3.996 billion berries, and he did so surprisingly quickly.

Blackbeard probably possesses all forms of Haki, but his greatest power likely comes from his Devil Fruits. He wields two incredibly strong abilities: the Yami Yami no Mi, which can nullify other Devil Fruit powers, and the Gura Gura no Mi, capable of immense destruction. These abilities alone put him on par with someone like Shanks, and he may even be more powerful than that.

Blackbeard Is Looking For A Third Devil Fruit

Teach is still actively searching for powerful Devil Fruits. If he can obtain Imu’s Devil Fruit, or one comparable to the two he already possesses, he would almost certainly become the strongest person in the world.
