Zoro Vs Mihawk Round 1 Happened On Baratie

- Zoro Challenged Mihawk
- Mihawk Wiped The Floor With Zoro
One thrilling encounter fans have experienced early on in “One Piece” is the epic battle between Zoro and Mihawk. This confrontation took place during the Baratie arc, a showdown Oda had been preparing for some time. It was fortunate for Zoro that Mihawk pursued Don Krieg to the East Blue, culminating at the Baratie where he intended to sever Don Krieg’s flagship, the Dreadnaught Sabre. It was there that Zoro recognized his adversary as none other than the legendary swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk. As the strongest swordsman in the East Blue, Zoro promptly took up Mihawk’s challenge on the spot, a decision that did not result in an enjoyable battle for him. In fact, for the majority of the fight, Zoro found himself far outmatched and came to understand that the world was much larger than the East Blue, and he still had much progress to make.

In this confrontation, Zoro experienced a crushing defeat as he failed to strike Mihawk once, and was even defeated using a small pocket knife. However, his resilience and determination prevented his elimination, and Mihawk, impressed by his spirit, issued him a challenge: rise above him in the art of swordsmanship. Since that day, Zoro has been relentlessly training, overcoming one obstacle after another on his quest to surpass Mihawk.
Initially, Zoro was tutored by Mihawk, the person he aims to vanquish in battle someday. Upon arriving at Sabaody Archipelago, Zoro exhibited an enhanced power level and gained a fearsome reputation for his combative abilities. Since then, he has continued to grow stronger, mastering skills like Conqueror’s Haki, among others. At the moment, Zoro should not be underestimated, and it is merely a question of time before he surpasses Mihawk as well.
Zoro Vs Mihawk Round 2 Will Happen On The Pirate Island
A Confrontation On The Pirate Island Is Brewing
As a keen observer, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building with each new arc, as the long-awaited rematch between Zoro and Mihawk seems to be inching closer. The prospect of this battle is nothing short of exhilarating, promising action that will leave fans breathless once it unfolds. And while Oda hasn’t explicitly stated when this clash will occur, hints scattered throughout the story suggest that it’s only a matter of time before we witness this epic duel.
If you’re among those curious souls pondering the timing of this showdown, you might find yourself intrigued by the subtle hints Oda has dropped along the way. In particular, when we look to the Final Saga, the very island where Zoro and Mihawk will lock swords has already been unveiled.
If Shanks is going for it then I will too. I say we go for it, the One Piece, that is! — Buggy
Whenever I ponder over a showdown between Zoro and Mihawk, their crews are instantly associated, as it’s highly unlikely they’d meet one-on-one without their respective teams being involved first. Initially, Mihawk was a solitary pirate, but now he operates through the Cross Guild, which implies that any encounter between him and Zoro would necessitate the Cross Guild taking action against the Straw Hat Pirates.
The crux of comparing Mihawk versus Zoro hinges on examining the actions of the Cross Guild, a task that shouldn’t prove too difficult given its escalating conflict with the Navy. In the narrative, the Cross Guild has dared to place bounties on Navy members, a challenge initially minor but now colossal, as evidenced by the apparent defeat of Vice Admiral T-Bone. The World Government and the Marines can no longer overlook the Cross Guild’s actions, suggesting an impending confrontation. However, it’s not just the Cross Guild that poses a threat to the Navy; they have enemies within their ranks as well.
I can’t help but recall the audacious scheme brewing among the Blackbeard Pirates – they’re eyeing a trade deal with the World Government! Teach, their leader, wants to barter Garp, the revered Marine, for official recognition of their Pirate Island. This move is downright shocking! It appears as though Teach is planning some sort of public negotiations with the World Government, which isn’t exactly in their best interest. If they agree to Blackbeard’s terms, it would make them seem weak and submissive to a pirate’s power. If they refuse, however, the beloved Marine icon, Garp, will undoubtedly meet his end. The consequences could be disastrous for the World Government if Blackbeard announces a public execution of their Hero. Losing such a symbol would deal a significant blow to them. They simply can’t afford to let either scenario unfold, which means they might have to engage in war with Blackbeard. Now, imagine both Blackbeard and Buggy faced the same threat at the same time – what would be the wisest course of action? To forge an alliance, I believe!

Through this partnership, they will work together on their objective to dismantle the Naval forces, create Pirate Island as a robust pirate haven resisting the dominance of the World Government, and crucially, carry out the plan to eliminate Garp.
Regarding the Straw Hat Pirates, they won’t require a significant motivation to participate in this conflict. If Luffy’s grandfather becomes a target in this war due to Blackbeard, it’s guaranteed they’ll make an appearance. Luffy values his family deeply and wouldn’t leave them unprotected, even if he’s a Marine. Consequently, Mihawk will likely obstruct Zoro, and the only way forward would be a full-scale confrontation.
