This article contains spoilers for One Piece’s Final Saga.
Haki is a unique ability in the world of One Piece. It comes from a person’s spirit and willpower, and while everyone possesses it, only a few are able to awaken and control it. Haki can give someone a heightened sense of awareness, and even act as a spiritual shield for both attack and defense. The rarest form of Haki, known as Conqueror’s Haki, lets a person dominate the wills of others, effectively intimidating anyone around them.
In *One Piece*, there’s an incredibly powerful type of Haki that very few people can master. Even fewer can learn to cover themselves with it. Currently, only three characters have ever demonstrated a particularly advanced use of this Haki, and tragically, only one of them is still alive.
Rocks D. Xebec Had The Strongest Form Of Haki

- Rocks Could Blow Everything Away
- His Sword Hit Like A Hammer
In the world of *One Piece*, a few characters are exceptionally skilled at using Haki. Interestingly, these masters – like Roger, Shanks, and Rocks – typically don’t possess Devil Fruit powers. Rocks was especially remarkable; Oda has described his unique swordsmanship. Instead of slicing, his attacks felt like powerful impacts, similar to being hit by a hammer or blasted by a cannon. Rocks’s immense power allowed him to obliterate anything in his way rather than simply cutting it, a feat likely achieved through masterful use of Conqueror’s Haki, which Oda frequently depicted him using. However, Rocks is no longer alive.

Surprisingly, the fighting style of Rocks didn’t disappear when he died. Roger, who later became the Pirate King, also mastered this technique. Like Rocks, Roger’s attacks didn’t slice – they delivered incredibly powerful, blunt-force impacts, as seen with Kamusari.
Shanks Is The Only Man Alive Who Can Use Rocks’s Haki Techniques
Shanks Copies His Technique From Roger

Currently, Shanks is the only pirate besides the legendary Rocks and Gol D. Roger who can use a specific, powerful technique called Haki. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, has stated that Shanks was naturally gifted and learned this ability simply by watching Roger.
Was the powerful move ‘Kamusari’ – the one that instantly defeated Kid – originally taught to Shanks by Roger? Or did Shanks figure it out just by watching Roger use it?
He picked it up by watching Roger from behind. No one else in the Roger Pirates could copy the technique, which really shows how gifted Shanks is.
Shanks Might Just Be The Strongest Of This Era

Shanks mastered the incredibly advanced technique of Kamusari, a powerful application of Conqueror’s Haki, before he was even fifteen years old, and has continued to improve ever since. This explains how easily he defeated Kid. It’s clear Shanks is on a completely different level, and he’s currently the strongest pirate we’ve seen.
