Chapter 1160 of *One Piece* was a major turning point, setting the stage for the upcoming events at God Valley. The God Valley Incident has officially begun, and fans are particularly focused on the character Saint Gunko. She’s been called “God’s Blade,” suggesting she’s Imu’s most trusted assistant. This development positions Gunko as a potentially terrifying enemy in *One Piece*, especially since she’s currently causing destruction in Elbaf while being controlled by Imu.

Gunko first appeared to One Piece fans at the start of the Elbaf arc. She arrived with Shamrock and quickly became a point of interest. Shamrock confidently claimed Gunko was strong enough to defeat even a powerful, unrestrained opponent like Loki, who has a bounty of 2.6 billion Berries.
That’s already remarkable, but there’s more to Gunko’s story. As events unfolded in Elbaf, she became a host for Imu’s consciousness. It quickly became clear that Gunko is exceptionally important. The current flashback reveals she was present with Imu in the Flower Room and also during the God Valley Incident, where she was known as ‘God’s Blade’. Considering all of this, it’s safe to say Gunko is the person closest to Imu, and likely acts as their main assistant. It appears Imu is unable to possess others, and Gunko is uniquely able to serve as a vessel for some unknown reason.
Gunko Is One Of The Strongest In One Piece
Her Power Is Yonko Level
Gunko is incredibly strong, likely the main villain of the Elbaf arc, and is currently being empowered by Imu. Even without Imu’s influence, she’s rumored to be more powerful than Loki. With Imu possessing her, she’s potentially the strongest character in One Piece, surpassing even the Yonko. Considering it took a Yonko like Shanks to defeat Loki, and that Gunko was also said to be capable of beating him, there’s strong evidence supporting her immense power. Fans have good reason to believe what’s been stated about her abilities.
Gunko is incredibly difficult to defeat because she’s effectively immortal, and only someone with a very strong form of Conqueror’s Haki can overcome that. She’s also a master of her unique Arrow Devil Fruit power. Given that Imu chose her for such an important role, she’s clearly one of the World Government’s most powerful fighters. We’ll likely see much more of Gunko’s abilities revealed in both the God Valley flashback and during the events in Elbaf.
