One Piece: Oda Officially Reveals The Real God Valley Incident

This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

The anime and manga series *One Piece* is now focusing on the Elbaf storyline, which is proving to be very exciting. A major part of this is the unfolding story of the God Valley Incident, something fans have been asking about for years. The creator, Oda, is finally revealing the details of what happened at God Valley, including long-hidden secrets and the misleading information that surrounded it.

Chapter 1162 of *One Piece* finally showed fans what really happened at God Valley. For a long time, people believed the God Valley Incident was the fight between Garp, Roger, and the Rocks Pirates, leading to Rocks D. Xebec’s defeat. However, it’s now confirmed that the actual battle involved Rocks fighting against Imu and a mysterious army of demons.

Imu Officially Arrives In God Valley

Rocks Vs Imu Is The True God Valley Incident

  • Imu will kill Rocks
  • Rocks’s will lives on

Chapter 1162 of *One Piece* was arguably one of the best chapters ever, finally revealing what *really* happened at God Valley. The Marines always claimed Garp was the hero who protected the Celestial Dragons and their slaves on the island, and Sengoku added that Roger helped him. But the actual story is completely different.

Honestly, things aren’t unfolding as we planned at all. Seeing what’s happening now, it’s really starting to worry me – I fear we might be on the verge of something much, much larger being set loose. It’s a serious concern, and I had to let Imu know.

Rocks ultimately saved his family, including Eris and Teach. He then quickly defeated Garling Figarland in battle. This victory revealed the true enemy behind the events at God Valley: Imu. Similar to how Imu controlled Gunko in Elbaf, Imu took complete control of Saint Saturn at God Valley, establishing themself as the world’s most powerful figure and opposing the Rocks pirates.

It’s obvious Rocks is going to lose this fight. While he’ll put up a good fight, he can’t win against Imu, as fans already know Rocks is deceased and Imu is still alive. Sadly, Rocks is destined to fall in this battle, and that’s what makes this part of the story so captivating.

What might that be? Well, if I had to put it simply, I’d say…the world! — Rocks on Imu

Rocks D. Xebec Will Fall In God Valley

The Most Legendary Pirate Of One Piece Will Die Soon

The recent chapters of *One Piece* have been incredibly thrilling, especially the deep dive into the history of Rocks D. Xebec – something fans have wanted for years. Now, though, the story seems to be wrapping up Rocks’ arc. As we know, he died on God Valley, which was also his home. It appears Imu dealt the initial blow, and Rocks ultimately succumbed to his injuries. It’s possible Roger and Garp finished him off after that fight, or the Government simply credited them with the win to hide the truth about what happened on God Valley. Either way, Rocks dies here, but his influence continues through his son, Blackbeard, and Loki.

The next chapter of One Piece, number 1163, will be released in two weeks, as usual on a Sunday. While it becomes available in Japan at midnight on Monday (JST), most international fans will be able to read it on October 26, 2025. You can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
