This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.
One Piece is now in its final arc, and the author, Oda, is working hard to bring Luffy’s adventure to a satisfying conclusion as quickly as possible. This means Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew should be at their strongest. As Luffy gets closer to finding Laugh Tale and finishing his journey, he needs to be incredibly powerful and have built up a network of strong allies.
At first, many fans thought Luffy’s main goal in One Piece was simply to find the treasure left by Roger. However, it’s become apparent that his ambitions are much larger. The story is now building towards Luffy freeing the world from the control of the World Government – even if he doesn’t realize it’s his destiny. But he can’t do this alone; he needs strong allies. While Luffy has already gathered a powerful crew and a large fleet of supporters, it’s becoming clear that isn’t enough. The next major character to join his cause is likely Loki, the powerful and infamous Prince of Elbaf, who is a threat even greater than the Emperors of the Sea.
Luffy’s Pirate Alliance Has Grown Tremendously In One Piece
- Luffy established the Straw Hat Grand Fleet in Dressrosa
- Luffy has multiple powerful countries under his banner
In the dangerous New World of One Piece, there are only two paths to survival:
One option is to align with a more powerful pirate crew and live under their protection – many strong characters in the One Piece world do this. Basil Hawkins, for example, submitted to Kaido during the Wano Arc, and Apoo did the same, recognizing they couldn’t defeat such a formidable opponent. Another strategy is to infiltrate the ranks of the Yonko, hoping to overthrow them from within, as Capone Bege attempted.
Hold this flag up high, and no one will bother you. Remember, I consider you my friends! — Luffy to Momonosuke
I’ve noticed one way people try to make it in the New World is by directly confronting and defeating the incredibly strong monsters that live there. That’s exactly what Luffy has been doing. He’s had to prove he’s a force to be reckoned with in these dangerous waters, where only the strongest survive. Beating Kaido was a huge step, of course, and played a big part in him becoming one of the Four Emperors. But it wasn’t just about defeating one opponent; it’s also about the powerful crew and allies he’s gathered. That combination of strength and support is what really solidified his position as a top-tier emperor.
It’s become obvious that Luffy has formed alliances with several nations, even extending his protection to Fishman Island. He commands a large and formidable Grand Fleet of almost 5,400 fighters, and recently added Wano Country to his sphere of influence. While Luffy’s network of allies is constantly expanding, the most significant alliance is still to come. The final arc of One Piece will likely see him unite with the powerful Giants of Elbaf, creating his strongest alliance yet.
Loki is Luffy’s New Yonko Level Ally
- Loki’s powers may go beyond the level of the average Yonko
It’s obvious Luffy is incredibly strong now, but if he wants to become the strongest and surpass the other Yonko, he’ll need to build even more powerful alliances. That’s where Loki fits in – Oda has already shown us he’s a massive force to be reckoned with. Honestly, Loki is a monster unlike anything we’ve seen, and his power seems to be on par with the Yonko, maybe even exceeding it.
I am the Sun God that’ll destroy the world! — Loki to Luffy
The powerful warrior is already allied with Luffy, and it’s obvious they’ll fight together to free Elbaf from Imu and the World Government before this conflict ends. Loki will undoubtedly join Luffy in future battles against the World Government, particularly because they share the same objectives. Furthermore, Loki deeply admires Luffy, who is the Sun God Nika, and wants to emulate him.
Loki’s Power Are Comparable To Luffy’s
Fans have only seen a fraction of Loki’s full power, but it’s already clear he’s incredibly strong – potentially even surpassing the level of the Yonko (the most powerful pirates in the One Piece world). A key to his strength is Ragnir, a legendary hammer from Elbaf that only someone truly worthy can wield. No one in history, not even King Harald, has been able to use it besides Loki. Ragnir itself is a weapon comparable to those used by the Yonko. In fact, it was strong enough to push back King Harald and many other powerful fighters. Even Loki, despite his immense power, couldn’t defeat Ragnir easily; it took a full-powered Conqueror’s Haki blast just to knock it down. And even then, Ragnir was powerful enough to completely shatter Loki’s hammer.
Join my crew, man! Elbaf doesn’t want you anyway, so come with me. — Luffy to Loki
Beyond Ragnir’s power, Loki’s true strength comes from a rare and incredibly powerful Devil Fruit. This fruit has been hidden on Elbaf for hundreds of years, and Loki only gained access to it after being recognized by Ragnir. Combined with Ragnir’s acknowledgement, this fruit has made Loki unbelievably strong – strong enough, in fact, to destroy the world. Currently, he’s far more powerful than most of the Yonko, making him a truly formidable warrior.
Luffy’s Allies Will Keep Growing In The Final Saga
- Luffy will make more alliances in the New World
Loki teaming up with Luffy is a massive advantage for the Straw Hat captain, potentially the biggest he could hope for. Big Mom once claimed that an alliance with Loki would have made her powerful enough to defeat even the strongest pirates like Shanks and Whitebeard. This new partnership, established in the Elbaf arc, significantly increases Luffy’s chances of becoming Pirate King and will dramatically change the course of his adventure.
Many fans believe Loki will become a member of the Straw Hat Pirates after the events on Elbaf. Even if that doesn’t happen, it’s clear Loki is on Luffy’s side and will continue to help him. By making Luffy such a powerful presence – one that only the World Government can challenge – Loki has practically secured Luffy’s path to becoming the Pirate King.
