Initially released in 2020 for the previous line of video game consoles, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 debuted during the continuous airing of the Wano arc in the anime/manga series. Consequently, the game’s narrative ended abruptly due to the ongoing storyline at that time.
After its release, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 has been consistently updated with additional Downloadable Content (DLC). This content includes characters that were introduced later in the series, allowing players to experience the Wano arc as it unfolds in the manga, particularly with the introduction of Gear 5 Luffy.
