One Piece: The Shocking Truth Behind Luffy’s Alien Origins and Moon Connection

This article contains spoilers from One Piece‘s Elbaf arc.

Summary

  • Luffy is implied to be an alien to the planet of One Piece, the Blue Star.
  • Oda reveals secrets of two world destructions in the Elbaf arc.
  • Luffy’s lineage likely connects to ancestors from the moon in One Piece.

In recent months, the Elbaf arc of “One Piece” has unveiled some huge pieces of information for fans, and what’s more unsettling is that Oda has barely scratched the surface yet. Considering Elbaf’s numerous links to the Sun God Nika and the past world, as well as the fact that they are currently the longest-living race on Earth, it’s no wonder this place conceals many of the world’s secrets.

Simultaneously, whatever Oda has disclosed up until now carries significant consequences, some of which may be so extraordinary that fans might struggle to accept them. However, this doesn’t make them any less accurate. One of the most profound suggestions made by Oda in the Elbaf arc is the notion that Luffy is among several individuals who are actually extraterrestrial beings on the planet of One Piece, the Blue Star.

At the same time, whatever information Oda has shared so far has major implications, some of which might be hard for fans to believe. But that doesn’t make them any less true. One of the most important things suggested in the Elbaf arc by Oda is the idea that Luffy is one of the many characters who originated from another planet, the Blue Star, in the story of One Piece.

The Harley Texts And The Secret Of The Moon People

  • Harley Reveals The Big Secrets Of The One Piece World
  • The World Of One Piece Was Destroyed Twice

It’s fair to assume that no enthusiast of “One Piece” anticipated Oda would unveil the truth behind the two world destructions in the Elbaf arc, as this concept left fans utterly astonished since Jarul initially brought it up.

The book is broken down into three distinct time periods, with the final section offering prophetic insights about upcoming events.

Instead, Oda continued to delve further into the Harley, ultimately disclosing the full poem to the audience. Nico Robin was the one who read this scripture aloud, while Franky watched as it was drawn before his eyes. According to the Harley’s inscriptions:

First World

Fire swept across the landscape, igniting a passion within people to defy boundaries and reach the prohibited Solar orb. Enslaved beings implored their gods for intervention, and the Sun deity made an appearance. The Earth god, infuriated, teamed up with the serpent of eternal flames, casting the world into destruction and shadow – a fate that would forever separate these entities.

Second World

In an empty expanse, a whisper of life stirred, seemingly summoning demons from the Forest Deity itself. The sun, merely a spectator, fanned the flames of conflict across the land. Both the dreamers under the half-moon and those bathed in the full-moon’s glow shared visions unseen. Mortals seized the sun, ascending to divinity, yet provoking the Sea God’s wrath. A parting was forever etched between them. (I, as an observer)

Third World

Amidst turmoil lies silence. The troubled echo recalls the anticipated day, sensing the whispers of a shattered moon. The divine dancer leaps and chuckles, guiding the world towards its conclusion. The radiant orb shall rise anew, ushering in a fresh dawn. Indeed, it is likely that this time they will reunite once more.

From Robin’s tale we gather, the Harley texts detail two previous global cataclysms and foretell a monumental transformation in the Third World, where Luffy is revered as the Sun God. For insights on Luffy’s true ancestry, fans should focus on the Second World. In the First World, Oda scarcely touches upon unique races or inhabitants of the world; it seems these elements emerged significantly later in the Second World.

Why Luffy Is From The Moon In One Piece

Luffy’s Ancestors Likely Came From The Moon

Exploring the Second World of One Piece offers fans a rich tapestry of details. This area seems to be the most intricate aspect of Harlequin itself. Fans discover that this is where the Devil Fruits originated, crafted by the Forest God, and subsequently distributed across the globe. Simultaneously, it was here that humans destroyed the Sun and assumed supreme power, transforming themselves into deities. However, the Second World encompasses far more than just these events.

Our world has been destroyed twice in the past already! — Jarul

In the captivating realm of One Piece, I stumbled upon an intriguing revelation by Oda: the inhabitants of Halfmoon and Fullmoon! For numerous compelling reasons, this discovery has ignited my curiosity. The Fullmoon denizens, as I perceive, are possibly descendants from our celestial neighbor, the moon – a notion that wouldn’t come off as a shock to any dedicated One Piece fan.

Originating from the lunar surface could be the origin story for the three Winged species, such as those from Lunaria. These include the Skypeians, Shandians, Birkans, and potentially Lunarians. If the Fullmoon inhabitants are referred to as their people, then who would the inhabitants of the Halfmoon be?

In simpler terms, if someone has both Fullmoon and Blue Star lineage (which could happen through a mix of these two groups), they are referred to as the “half-moon” people. This term is used because such a child would have characteristics from both parental lineages, much like the shape of a half-moon. Interestingly, the symbol ‘D’ also resembles a half-moon, leading to speculation that those who originally bore this symbol are descended from the moon. This group includes the main character of the series, Monkey D. Luffy. The Shandians, who settled on the Blue Sea, are likely candidates as common ancestors in this scenario because they possess a unique connection to the Blue Star lineage.

Essentially, Luffy isn’t just any character; he might be an extraterrestrial, and here’s why that’s intriguing – his Nika power, symbolized by its white form, seems to have connections with the moon, much like Sulong, a power sourced from the moon. This suggests that Luffy could be a lunar being himself, which aligns perfectly with him potentially being the Sun God. Quite astonishing, isn’t it? If true, Luffy would indeed be an alien and a descendant of the moon.

The next installment of One Piece, chapter 1145, is coming up soon, likely this week itself. Just like before, you can expect the new chapter to arrive on Sunday. In Japan, it will be released at 12AM JST on Monday. But for most international readers, they’ll have access to the chapter on April 6. So, mark your calendars for April 6, 2025, as that is when One Piece Chapter 1145 officially releases!
