- Luffy will upgrade his Haki in Elbaf
The Elbaf storyline in One Piece is now in full swing, leaving fans eagerly anticipating where the narrative will lead next. The Elbaf saga has only just started, and it’s already shaping up to be intense. New antagonists are emerging, while at the same time, intriguing details about the lore are being unveiled by the author. Fans believe that Elbaf could turn out to be one of the most impactful arcs in the entire series, and undoubtedly the most significant one within the Final Saga thus far.
This arc will significantly impact each Straw Hat member in various ways, but it’s particularly crucial for some of them. As our leading character, Luffy is included in this category, and viewers anticipate that this arc could present him with his toughest challenge yet within the New World.
Luffy Hasn’t Been Truly Tested As A Yonko Yet
- Luffy Became A Yonko After Kaido’s Defeat
- Egghead Didn’t Test Luffy As It Should’ve
For Luffy, the Wano Arc held immense significance for multiple reasons. Not just did he strive to aid a friend in reclaiming their homeland after two decades of hardship, but simultaneously, he aimed to get one step nearer to acquiring the One Piece. Given that he confronted two powerful pirates, Big Mom and Kaido, this journey was crucial. In this battle, Luffy not only enhanced his power level significantly but also seized Kaido’s Poneglyph from him. He took a step closer to the One Piece and achieved what no other pirate has done since Roger. Now, Luffy is merely one Poneglyph away from claiming the One Piece, making him the individual who is closest to this treasure in years.
Primarily, Luffy mastered the art of Supreme King Haki Infusion and unlocked his Devil Fruit’s Awakening – these were the most significant achievements during the Wano Country arc for him. With these newfound abilities, he matched up with the Yonko (Emperors) in strength. It was these powers that enabled Luffy to conquer Kaido, free Wano, and set off towards Egghead with them. At this stage of the story, Luffy earned the title of an Emperor and received a 3 billion berry bounty. There’s no denying that Luffy had become a formidable force, even the Marines wouldn’t dare to confront him without explicit orders from their superiors.

As I watched, Luffy displayed an immense amount of power, yet remained unproven as a Yonko. Lucci aimed to challenge him rigorously, and though Luffy presented some obstacles, he managed to overcome them with ease. Subsequently, in the Egghead Arc, Luffy engaged in battles against Kizaru and the Elders, but these encounters never escalated into full-blown confrontations. Luffy’s battle with Kizaru was nothing short of spectacular, but it served as a tactical maneuver for both characters – Luffy to buy time for his comrades, particularly Vegapunk, to escape, and Kizaru to avoid engaging in a protracted fight with Luffy. In the same vein, when Luffy faced off against the Elders, he had already grasped that they were immortal and decided not to engage them directly.
In essence, what Luffy aimed to achieve was buying enough time for everyone to safely evacuate the island without unleashing his full power completely. Although brief displays of his immense strength were evident throughout this storyline, Luffy held back, understanding he had specific goals in mind. Consequently, Luffy’s Yonko status still remains untested at present, opening up numerous chances for him to exhibit his full potential, and the land of Elbaf will provide that platform.
Luffy Vs Shanks’s Look Alike Is Set To Happen
Shanks Lookalike Burst Onto The Scene In Elbaf
Fans may ponder over how Luffy will establish himself as a Yonko in the Elbaf arc, but the solution is quite straightforward. The latest One Piece chapter unveiled two formidable characters, one resembling Shanks, hinting at potential developments.
In the thrilling world of One Piece, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the appearance of a character who bears an uncanny resemblance to Shanks, introduced in chapter 907 and initially mistaken for the Yonko himself. This enigmatic figure has now become the central antagonist of our current arc, and his role is set to deepen significantly in the storyline.
For quite some time now, Oda has been subtly building suspense around this character’s introduction, and with him now intertwined in the main plot, it feels like we’re one step closer to the momentous encounter between him and Luffy. When these characters finally cross paths in the Elbaf arc, fans can expect Luffy to face his greatest challenge yet.
The tension between them promises to be palpable, and I for one can hardly wait to witness Luffy’s biggest test when he comes face-to-face with this formidable adversary!
I want to talk about a certain pirate! – Shanks’s Look-alike
Absolutely, while this figure isn’t definitively identified as Shanks, there’s a strong possibility he’ll match Shanks’ strength. Their brotherhood and shared potential suggest this could be the case.
It’s important to note that this character is highly respected by the Five Elders for their immense power, and they are bold enough to venture into Elbaf, even with the knowledge of a Yonko residing there, along with Loki. This individual is likely the new leader of the God’s Knights following Garling’s rise among the Elders, and even Dragon finds them formidable. All these factors suggest that Shanks’ twin possesses power almost equal to Shanks himself, and will likely pose a challenge unlike any other for Luffy. It’s clear they are on par with the Emperors, making this the first significant encounter for Luffy as a Yonko-level character. Previously, against Kaido, Luffy did receive assistance, and it took multiple attempts to finally defeat him.
Will Luffy Grow Stronger In Elbaf?
Luffy Will Upgrade His Haki In Elbaf
Without a doubt, Luffy’s strength will significantly increase during the Elbaf Arc, and he’ll achieve this by overcoming someone who resembles Shanks. The crucial aspect he’ll gain from this fight is likely an upgrade in his Supreme King Haki. Oda has emphasized that Luffy needs to master this skill, and it seems this battle will be the perfect opportunity for him to learn how to use it effectively and push his abilities further. Luffy must defeat the Shanks doppelgänger if he’s to save Elbaf, and that’s what makes everything so exhilarating.
