This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf arc.
Summary
- Blackbeard has a trading chip in Garp, setting up negotiations with the World Government soon.
- The Pirate Island war is imminent, with strategic tactics to humiliate the World Government.
- Luffy might join the war involving Blackbeard, the Navy, Yonko, and possibly Shanks, leading to chaos.
Currently, One Piece is unfolding its Grand Finale, and as hinted by Oda earlier, some of the most monumental happenings throughout the whole saga are about to transpire right here.
Oda has previously unveiled monumental storyline moments like the Egghead Incident, and now, as Elbaf unfolds, tensions escalate even further with the arrival of the Holy Knights. Meanwhile, on their journey to Elbaf, Oda is preparing a colossal war in the New World that promises to drastically alter the world’s status quo.
The Blackbeard Pirates’ Plan To Exchange Garp
- Blackbeard Has Gained A Trading Chip In Garp
- The Negotiations With The World Government Will Happen Soon
The Egghead storyline in One Piece launched what appears to be the most action-packed chapter of the series so far. Interestingly, Oda seemed particularly thrilled about illustrating this arc, a sentiment shared by fans. This particular storyline laid the groundwork for numerous future events, including the sinking of the world and the battle against the World Government.
However, there’s one detail that might escape the notice of some fans: the agreement between Blackbeard and the Navy.
I wish to make this Pirate Island an official country! — Blackbeard To Koby
In my perspective, earlier as Teach had proposed, his plan was to barter Koby to the World Government in exchange for official recognition of Pirate Island as a sovereign nation within the One Piece world. If successful, it would make him its king and the island would be eligible for the Reverie. However, given that Koby is a member of SWORD, he’s not technically affiliated with the Navy, which ultimately doomed this deal to fall apart.
Currently, Teach finds himself in possession of Garp, an influential figure much larger than Hero, whom even the Navy can’t disregard. The imminent talks between Teach and the World Government are expected to escalate into a conflict as significant as the Paramount War.
The Pirate Island War Is Inevitable In One Piece
War On The Pirate Island Will Break Out Very Soon
It’s probable that Blackbeard will reveal the details of his talks with the World Government in a clever move, intending to embarrass them publicly. Given Garp’s status as a symbol of peace, the World Government can’t afford to ignore him. Yet, they also can’t succumb to pirate demands, for fear it would damage their reputation.
The D will always bring a storm. — Law to Doflamingo
In order for them to escape this predicament, they must confront Blackbeard, vanquish him, and simultaneously save Garp from his impending execution. It’s just a matter of time before conflict erupts on the Pirate Island, and it will undoubtedly resemble the Marineford War. However, Oda plans to make this battle even more grandiose in scale than the previous one.
Will Luffy Join The Pirate Island War?
The Pirate Island Conflict is expected to involve groups such as the Blackbeard Pirates and the Navy, featuring Marine Commanders, with the possibility that the Serpahims may also participate. Concurrently, spectators might witness other powerful Yonko joining this battle. Keep an eye on Buggy, as he could align himself with Blackbeard due to their shared adversary.
Shanks is searching high and low for Teach (Blackbeard), making it possible he could appear too, and with Luffy’s grandfather’s life at stake, it’s almost certain that Luffy will join in. This conflict might involve all Yonko engaging in a chaotic brawl, as the Marines and World Government strive to save Garp. Given its size and impact, this war promises to be monumental, and all we can do is wait for Eiichiro Oda to unfold events beyond Elbaf.
