One Piece’s Original Straw Hats Are Making an Official Comeback on March 10

After a three-year wait, the live-action One Piece series returns to Netflix on March 10, 2026. Season 2, now titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, will continue the story and begin adapting the Alabasta Saga from the original manga. This season will cover the Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs, with the final Alabasta arc saved for Season 3.

The new season of One Piece, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, will see Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates face off against the dangerous criminal organization, Baroque Works, as they begin their journey into the Grand Line. To build excitement for the season 2 premiere on March 10th, the official One Piece Netflix account shared a teaser on Twitter showing the cast recreating famous scenes from the original One Piece manga.

Netflix Teases One Piece Season 2 With Manga-Accurate Remakes of the Main Cast

The new One Piece trailer on Netflix features the actors posing in everyday clothes, recreating famous scenes from the One Piece manga. Iñaki Godoy, who plays Luffy, is shown throwing his arms up and shouting as the sun sets. Mackenyu, playing Zoro, casually walks down stairs, crosses his legs, and puts his hands behind his head – a pose fans will instantly recognize from the manga.

Emily Rudd, who plays Nami, is pictured studying a map of the Grand Line with a bright smile. Jacob Gibson, as Usopp, confidently poses in a junkyard, arms crossed and grinning – a perfect fit for his character’s reputation as a storyteller. And Taz Skylar, portraying Sanji, executes a stunning high kick that closely resembles a pose from the original manga, leaving only his signature cigarette missing from the scene.

One Piece Season 2 Will Adapt the First Half of the Alabasta Saga in Into the Grand Line

I’m excited that Season 2 of One Piece finally brings Luffy and his crew into the Grand Line and starts adapting the Alabasta Saga! This arc is huge – it’s packed with battles, political intrigue, and so many characters that it really needs a full season to do it justice. But it’s not just building towards future seasons either; we’ll also meet several important new characters and get a deeper look into the world of One Piece.

Season 2 of One Piece will introduce both the dangerous Baroque Works organization and important characters who will become key players later on, like Tony Tony Chopper and Nico Robin (including Miss Wednesday, who has a big role in Season 3). This season will cover the Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island storylines, expanding the world, developing the characters, and delivering even more action than the first season’s East Blue Saga – and that season was already a strong start for the Netflix adaptation.

The Alabasta Saga is a strong continuation of the story after the East Blue, demonstrating the serious dangers of the Grand Line and increasing the tension for what’s to come. The incredibly detailed world of One Piece, created by Eiichoro Oda, and the groundwork laid early on will make future seasons even more impactful if Netflix continues to stay true to the original manga. One Piece: Into the Grand Line will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix starting March 10, 2026.
