After approximately 27 years of running, it’s clear that One Piece will eventually reach its end. Once Luffy’s journey concludes, the storyline might introduce a fresh protagonist to continue the series, inviting fans to follow their new adventure.

Observing the Elbaf arc unfold, it seems that the creator of this series, Eiichiro Oda, could have intentionally introduced a character brimming with the necessary abilities for such an event.

Luffy’s Successor Is Here In Elbaf

Scopper Gaban’s Son Collun Could Make A Great Protagonist

One Piece stands as one of the longest-lasting series currently available, boasting over 1140 chapters to date – a significant number indeed. From its inception, enthusiasts have trailed the primary character, Monkey D. Luffy, on his journey that began within East Blue and culminated in him gathering his entire crew. Since then, Luffy’s escapade has grown exponentially, particularly upon entering the New World.

Currently, Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew are exploring the land of Giants, Elbaf, an area that fans have eagerly anticipated since Little Garden. This storyline has been building anticipation since the series’ early stages, and it seems Oda could be introducing a character who might one day surpass Luffy.

In the land of Elbaf, created by Oda, numerous intriguing characters have been unveiled. One much-anticipated figure who made his appearance was none other than Scopper Gaban, the right-hand man to the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. What left fans even more astonished was the revelation that Scopper Gaban had a son with a giant woman named Ripley. Their offspring is called Colon, and it’s expected that he may embark on his own exciting escapades in the future.

In the ongoing tale of “One Piece,” I’m currently at Colon, yet in comparison to the typical standards of giants, I’m still a youth. You see, giants age and live much longer than humans, so I’ve got a couple more years under my belt before I fully mature. The thought of this youngster, who was part of Roger’s crew, embarking on his own journeys later down the line is tantalizing. Who knows? Maybe he’ll even assemble his very own band of adventurers!

From where I stand, it’s clear that Luffy’s tale is far from reaching its conclusion, despite us having ventured into what’s referred to as the Final Saga. The amount of ground still left for author Oda to explore is vast, and if the pace continues at its current rate, the Elbaf arc alone could stretch on for two years or more before it reaches its resolution. This is particularly true when you factor in the periodic breaks that Oda takes every few weeks.

Although the main “One Piece” manga may come to an end someday, that doesn’t necessarily signify the conclusion of all the tales. The series holds nearly limitless possibilities for spin-offs, prequels, and sequels, and Colon’s story could be included in this expansive universe.
