Why is Scump Gambling on Stream?
Look, I love Scump, but a lot of fans – myself included – are starting to feel like his gambling streams aren’t really showing his true personality. It just feels a bit off, like he’s not being himself. He and H3CZ have been streaming these Roobet slots, and honestly, everyone thinks these streams are costing them a ton of money – probably tens of thousands!
Roobet has worked with celebrities before, so this isn’t the first time. However, many people feel it’s irresponsible of Scump to promote them, considering his large audience is mainly young and easily influenced.
Nadeshot recently tried his hand at online gambling, traveling to Mexico to avoid U.S. laws restricting certain types of gambling and broadcasting from there. This decision sparked criticism, especially since his company, 100 Thieves, was simultaneously conducting layoffs.
Some people are concerned that OpTic’s partnership with a gambling site like Roobet isn’t a good look, especially given their history and popularity in Call of Duty esports. While betting is common in esports and contributes a lot of income, many feel that online slot games are particularly problematic.
Birdman recently pointed out on social media that Pred was previously taken off the OpTic team due to a significant issue with gambling.
