OpTic Texas Dominates Subliners To Win CDL Champs

As a long-time Call of Duty esports fan and avid follower of OpTic Texas, I can honestly say that yesterday’s grand final match was nothing short of breathtaking. The intensity, the skill, and the sheer determination displayed by both teams were truly awe-inspiring.

Recently in Texas, one of the most historic Call of Duty esports grand final matches took place between the New York Subliners and OpTic Texas. The teams faced off on an impressive stage after a intense weekend of competition where they fought fiercely to reach this championship showdown.

After the excitement of the game had died down, OpTic emerged victorious with a impressive score of 5 to 1, marking their first Call of Duty world championship win since 2017. This highly charged match was a strong candidate for the most thrilling encounter in the history of the Call of Duty League.

Finally.

OpTic Texas claimed the Call of Duty League title by outperforming the previous champions, New York Subliners, in an exciting best-of-nine series. Throughout the competition, OpTic Texas displayed superior gameplay, dominating most rounds and remaining unyielding against a formidable Subliners team.

In the initial stages of the match, both teams performed evenly during the first Hardpoint and the opening round of Search and Destroy. OpTic secured victories in the first two rounds. However, Subliners gained momentum by dominating in Control on Karachi. Following this, OpTic Texas found their rhythm and outperformed Subliners significantly, winning the second Hardpoint with a score difference of 120 points and sweeping them in the next Search and Destroy round.

As a gamer, I’ve got to admit, our home game was electrifying! The crowd was on fire, and having the OpTic leadership team and legendary players like Crimsix, Scump, Karma, and FormaL there made it feel like we were part of something truly special. It was as if the Green Wall came to life right before our eyes during this tournament. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome for OpTic Texas if I had written the script myself.

Each member of the OpTic Texas team deserves recognition for their exceptional performances at the Champs tournament. Notably, Dashy earned his first ring after seven attempts, while Kenny added another world championship title to his collection and kept a spotless reputation throughout the match. Shotzzy was named MVP for securing yet another ring, and Pred, who showcased remarkable energy as a rookie in 2022, deserves acknowledgment for his contributions.

The entire CDL 2024 season, from beginning to end, was extraordinary. However, it signifies the conclusion of this specific competition. We now shift our focus towards the Esports World Cup, which holds the next chapter for us.
