While The Outer Worlds 2 doesn’t feature many puzzles, those it does include are designed to be a bit challenging. One example is the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt, found high in a monastery above Golden Ridge. This puzzle asks players to crack a code by solving three riddles about the planets and systems of Arcadia.

How to Solve the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt Puzzle

Look to the orrery in front of the Observatory to solve this riddle.

The first dial should be set to the number of moons that orbit Elysium.

The second dial should be set to the number of moons that orbit between Dorado and Elysium.

Okay, so to set the final dial, I need to figure out how many times Eden goes around Elysium while Praetor and Cloister finish one full spin. That’s the number I need to put on the dial.

Based on your astronomical observations, enter the completed code nearby within the Observatory.

In Outer Worlds 2, the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt puzzle at the Observatory asks players to examine models and a planetary map to learn how the game categorizes different celestial objects.

  • The Orrery outside the Observatory reveals the answer to the third riddle of the Order Initiate puzzle – pay attention to the planets that orbit each other (Cloister and Praetor), and the rotation of Eden (the small green/blue moon).
