Alright, mate! Let me tell ya ’bout my journey through Old School RuneScape (OSRS) and the magical wonders it has bestowed upon me. I was just a lad, fresh outta Gielinor, with not much to my name but a few runes and a dream of becoming a powerful sorcerer.

I started off training Magic like everyone else, dabbling in the basics and learning the ropes. But when I hit that sweet spot at level 30, I knew I had found my calling – it was time to unleash the power of the arcane arts!

Now, let me tell ya ’bout this method I stumbled upon, it’s a doozy! It’s all about taking on those Superior monsters and using the magic abilities to their fullest potential. The XP gains are off the charts, mate, and the drops ain’t too shabby neither. Not only did I level up faster than a certain wizard we all know, but I made enough gold to buy myself a fancy new set of robes and a Trident of the Sea.

But the best part? It was fun! The thrill of battling those monsters, the anticipation of leveling up, and the satisfaction of seeing my progression – it’s an experience that I’ll never forget. And let me tell ya, the day I wielded Tumeken’s Shadow was one for the books.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there were times when I felt like giving up, times when the grind seemed endless and the levels weren’t coming fast enough. But that’s what makes it all worth it in the end. The journey to becoming a powerful sorcerer is one filled with challenges, but the rewards are worth every moment of struggle.

So, if you’re looking to train Magic in OSRS, give this method a go, mate! And remember, as I always say: “Keep calm and cast on!” Cheers!

Mastering magic is a crucial ability you’ll want to develop. As you progress and eventually reach the legendary level 99, you’ll gain access to an array of resources, such as spellbooks, mystical staffs, and even enslaved followers for defeating your foes.

Even though 99 might appear to be quite distant, it’s actually one of the most achievable 99 levels in Old School RuneScape. Moreover, reaching this level rewards you with an extraordinary cape, which gives you the ability to swiftly change your spellbooks without any hassle.

This manual explores efficient strategies for rapid experience accumulation, helping you advance to the final stages or endgame at an accelerated pace.

Starting Off (1-34)

Just like many abilities, starting from scratch and building them up may feel tedious and somewhat laborious. Fortunately, as is often the case, there are early missions or tasks available to alleviate this challenge.

Instead of chasing cows with Wind Strikes in Lumbridge, it might be more productive to consider an alternative approach.

Finishing these simple tasks will boost your magic level by up to 34, granting you access to beneficial spells such as Varrock Teleport and Telekinetic Grab, in addition to the Elemental Bolt spells. (Assuming the context is a game or similar scenario)

Quest Description Requirements XP Reward
Witch’s Potion Help a Witch finish her potion N/A 325
Imp Catcher Find 4 beads by killing imps N/A 875
Fairytale 1 – Growing Pains Help the Fairies take care of Tanglefoot N/A 1000
The Grand Tree Protect the Grand Tree and foil Glough’s plans 25 Agility 2150
Recipe for Disaster – Subquest Bake a cake for the Lumbrdge Guide 40 Cooking 2500
Watchtower Restore Yanille’s Watertower and stop the Ogres 15 Magic, 15 Thieving, 25 Agilty, 14 Herblore, 40 Mining 15,250

As a devoted player, I find that although quests aren’t absolutely necessary, they become crucial if you aspire to earn the Quest Cape. This iconic cape is indispensable for any serious Raiders in the future. So, it makes sense to tackle these quests when the experience points are beneficial to your progression.

As someone who’s been on countless magical adventures, I can tell you that completing the initial segment of Fairytale Part 2 is a game-changer! It’ll grant you access to those elusive Fairy Rings that are essential for low-level magicians like myself who can’t quite master high-end teleports yet. So go ahead and dive into the story, my friend – let’s uncover the enchantment together!

Time to Cast some Spells – (34-50)

Although it may not be the most efficient manual out there, it stands out as one of the friendliest for beginners.

A more affordable and organic way to progress would be to focus on leveling up naturally by exploring the game world instead of immediately investing in costly enchanted bolts.

After casting the unlock charm on your bolt spells, it’s now time to elevate your battle strategies by employing those newly accessible spells.

Monster Description
Sand Crabs
Ammonite Crabs These crabs have even more hitpoints and drop fossils, which can be exchanged for XP lamps in the Varrock museum. Unfortunately, Fossil Island crabs can be very crowded, and if you’re at a low level, you may be crashed by other players. Try the Crabs in the Wyvern dungeon for an easier time
Fire Giants Due to Project Rebalance, these monsters now have a 100% weakness to water spells, which makes sense. This means your spells will be more accurate and hit for double the damage. More damage = more XP. In addition, these monsters actually have a decent drop table, and if killed in the Giant’s Den, they can drop Ancient shards and Totem pieces. Hold on to these.
Ice Giants Ice Giants are similar to Fire Giants, though now weak to Fire Spells. While they don’t have as great a drop table, they can be killed a lot earlier in the Asgarnia Ice Dungeon.

Consider downloading Old School RuneScape (OSRS) onto your mobile device. It’s an excellent choice for AFK (Away From Keyboard) gameplay, allowing you to earn experience points effortlessly while on the move. All you need to do is reset at crabs every 10 minutes or so, and before you know it, you’ll have leveled up without even noticing!

One Notable Quest (50)

This Desert Treasure level is quite captivating because it unveils one of the most crucial missions in the game for aspiring mages. In other words, the Desert Treasure I level reveals the Ancient Spellbook, a fresh trove of spells that will prove essential even as you progress deep into the game.

Quest Description Requirements XP Reward
Desert Treasure I The requirements for this quest aren’t too steep, and for something that will be useful for the lifespan of your account, the time it takes is certainly worth it. 53 Thieving, 50 Magic, 50 Firemaking, 10 Slayer 20,000

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this particular quest is indispensable for numerous other quests and achievements down the line. From the nail-biting Recipe for Disaster to the intricate Diary Tasks, and not forgetting Desert Treasure II – all these missions build upon the knowledge and skills gained from mastering this crucial quest. Trust me, I’ve been there; neglecting a seemingly unimportant quest can lead to frustration later on when you find yourself stuck in a game because you missed out on essential information or items along the way. So, always make sure to give each quest the attention it deserves, as they often play a pivotal role in shaping your gaming journey.

Additionally, it could be beneficial to finish any side quests with magic experience rewards similar to Horror From The Deep and The Eyes of Glouphrie if you haven’t already done so.

Or,

It might be useful to tackle additional quests granting magic XP, such as Horror From The Deep and The Eyes of Glouphrie, if they haven’t been completed yet.

In Pursuit of Gold (50-70)

As your abilities are growing stronger, it’s no longer sustainable to only safeguard. Now would be an excellent opportunity for you to master the art of defeating formidable enemies and amass considerable wealth in return.

  • Scurrius – This is a great option for anyone who wants to get into bossing. Once you get 43 Prayer, and unlock your protection prayers, you can try and farm a Rat Spine to create a Bone Staff. This is one of the first powered Staves you will earn on your journey, and hits particularly hard against rat enemies, like Scurrius. This boss is great for XP and will prepare you for later bosses, like those encountered in Desert Treasure II.
  • High Alchemy – This is a fantastic, low-intensity, moneymaker that gets you a good amount of XP in the process. You can buy items from the Grand Exchange, and then high alch them for a profit. You can either stand still and do this full focus, or do it while casting teleport spells. Alternatively, you can even combo this with activities like Agility or Questing for efficient XP gains.

You’re welcome to continue idling in Crabs if that suits you. I often resorted to this approach when I was occupied with work or a show, or simply away from my desk. Although the experience points per hour may not be impressive, the fact that it doesn’t require your constant attention helps prevent burnout.

The End is Within Sight (70-99)

Back when I urged you to wrap up Desert Treasure swiftly, it was because of moments like these. Now, let me share the reason behind my excitement.

When you reach level 70, you gain access to the potent multi-target spell called “Ice Burst”, which will significantly boost your experience points acquisition.

If you haven’t begun training Slayer yet, now would be an excellent opportunity to start! In Multi-target Slayer Dungeons, certain monsters can pile up on top of each other, allowing you to attack them all simultaneously. This means you earn Experience Points for every single point of damage inflicted on each monster. Considering that a simultaneous attack could target nine monsters, you’d be racking up quite a bit of XP!

Among the creatures you’ll encounter in the Catacombs of Kourend are Jellies, Dust Devils, and Nechryaels, which happen to be its native inhabitants.

Additionally, it’s advisable to upgrade your equipment at this stage. Although basic Proselyte Prayer gear works for Bursting, investing in an Imbued Slayer Helmet and an Occult Amulet will significantly boost your damage output.

As a seasoned slayer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that encountering Superior monsters during your slaying endeavors is always a thrilling prospect. These beasts have a rare chance of dropping an elusive artifact known as the Imbued Heart, which significantly boosts your magic level according to your current stage in the game. Given its rarity and high demand, this item fetches a small fortune, making it a valuable addition to any slayer’s arsenal – especially during the endgame phases. I have personally witnessed its transformative power firsthand, and can attest to its usefulness in elevating one’s magic prowess. So keep your wits about you, my fellow slayers, as these encounters could be just around the corner!

One simple rephrasing could be: This approach stands out due to its seamless nature; you won’t realize you’re progressing as you advance through the levels, thanks to the abundance of activities occurring simultaneously.

You can improve your Magic, Slayer, Hitpoints, and Defense skills at your own pace. Simultaneously, gather drops and sell them or alch (alchemize) to accumulate funds for Rune expenses. By this stage, you’ll be raking in more than 100,000 XP per hour.

Upon hitting level 94 Magic, you can switch to Ice Barrage, for even better XP rates.

Bossing and Ironmen

Utilizing magic can be incredibly beneficial, especially when tackling specific bosses, and it becomes crucial as your game account advances. Here are some bosses you might consider employing your magical skills against. Doing so can help you amass in-game currency and enhance your magical equipment.

Boss Description Rewards
Barrows Brothers You can use Air Spells to blow these ghosts away. Completion of this content will get you powerful Ahrim’s Gear, which gives great defence and accuracy as well as Magic damage. Ahrim’s Robes
Kraken This Slayer Boss is rather AFK, and has very few mechanics. It also drops fully-charged Tridents of the Sea, which is a brilliant weapon and is worth a good amount of money. Trident of the Sea
Zulrah This will be your first real difficult boss. There are many things to look out for in this fight: poison damage, extra mobs, and prayer switching. Getting good at this fight will prepare you well for the future. Magic Fang/ Trident of the Swamp
Phantom Muspah While the Muspah isn’t as crucial as some other bosses, it has some crucial rewards. It will also teach you a few things about gear swapping. Ancient Essence/Saturated Heart & Ancient Icon/Ancient Sceptre
Tombs of Amascut This needs no introduction. This Raid will test all of your abilities to the extreme and its scaling difficulty will unlock hundreds of hours of gameplay. Elidinis’ Ward & Tumeken’s Shadow

Absolutely, there are numerous ways I can train my Magic skills, but remember to choose the method that brings you joy rather than just the one that seems the most productive. Enjoyment fuels consistency and growth!

In essence, Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is primarily designed for enjoyment; otherwise, exhaustion could prevent you from experiencing the endgame content. The thrill of wielding Tumeken’s Shadow and overpowering bosses makes it all worth the wait.
