Other Mascots That Should Join Colonel Sanders in Funko Fusion

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the inclusion of real-world mascots like KFC’s Colonel Sanders in Funko Fusion is a breath of fresh air! Growing up, I remember collecting those little figurines and now seeing them come to life in a video game is nothing short of magical.

In addition to popular IPs like Back to the Future and The Walking Dead, players in Funko Fusion can also interact with real-world mascots. This includes the famous Colonel Sanders from KFC, adding even more excitement to the crossover chaos within Funko Fusion. Notably, Freddy Funko is also part of the fun, but the appearance of Colonel Sanders promises an additional layer of mascot madness!

As a gamer, I never thought I’d find myself battling it out with KFC’s Colonel Sanders in Funko Fusion! Yet, his presence is woven into every corner of this game world. From collectibles dedicated entirely to the chef himself, to earning additional outfits for him through a KFC app promotion – he’s the ultimate prize for those who can’t resist the tantalizing aroma of finger lickin’ good chicken amidst Eddy’s mischief.

Funko Fusion Has So Many More Mascots to Play With

10:10 Games Really Needs to Toss These Fan-Favorites Into the Mix

Over the span of many years, Funko has manufactured collectible items featuring almost every popular mascot from various industries. Collectors have had the opportunity to acquire toys of Ronald McDonald and his team, cereal characters like Tony the Tiger and Sam the Toucan, as well as figurines representing candy bars. These additions have been a hit with collectors, and now that Funko Fusion is honoring the entire brand, it’s only fair they get their moment in video games too.

  • Bullseye
  • Chester Cheetah
  • Fred Flintstone
  • Geoffrey
  • Mr. Owl
  • Pillsbury Doughboy
  • Ronald McDonald
  • Toucan Sam
  • Tony the Tiger
  • The Kool-Aid Man

In this world, there are countless mascots, and if Funko Fusion were to incorporate more, it would probably be some of the most famous ones. Naturally, characters like McDonald’s Ronald McDonald, Target’s Bullseye, or the Kool-Aid Man seem ideal choices. Additionally, fans might enjoy playing as charming characters such as the Pillsbury Doughboy, Chester Cheetah, or Tony the Tiger from Frosted Flakes. If the studio aims to incorporate some classic mascots, then Mr. Owl from Tootsie Pop and Geoffrey from Toys R’ Us would be a great fit.

Funko Fusion Can Be Far More than an IP Playground

Adding these mascots into the game would turn Funko Fusion from just a crossover of movie franchises to a blend of popular culture as a whole. If executed correctly, these characters could be excellent additions to the team. Of course, they wouldn’t each have their own dedicated fan bases, but their presence could certainly spice up the roster. Moreover, if they were to emulate Colonel Sanders, it would not only enrich the game but also boost the associated brands.

In-game, players have the opportunity to acquire Colonel Sanders as a character. Yet, his distinctive outfits remain exclusive unless accessed through the KFC App. The Chef Colonel attire can be unlocked merely by using the app, and upon accumulating 250 reward points, the Mecha Colonel outfit becomes available too. This method of offering unique costumes has stirred debate since it encourages players to spend money outside the game. Nevertheless, this strategy effectively promotes the KFC brand, which is precisely its goal.

At present, we don’t have any details about the content of the upcoming DLC for Funko Fusion. If the Walking Dead pack is any indication, there’s a possibility that additional IPs will be added to this post-release content. While it’s true that fans might wish for other franchises to appear, it would be great to see more of Funko’s Ad Icons making an appearance as well. As long as their introduction doesn’t rely heavily on microtransactions, fans are likely to welcome more characters from Funko’s roster.
