Overwatch 2: Every Space Ranger Ability Explained

Overwatch 2: Every Space Ranger Ability Explained

As a dedicated fan of Overwatch, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the latest addition to the roster – the new Space Ranger hero, Juno! With her unique background and impressive abilities, she’s shaping up to be an essential member of our team.

Despite not being the initial game in the hero shooter category, Overwatch stands out as a trailblazer with a significant impact on the genre. Its extensive popularity can be attributed to its large and iconic cast of characters, which includes original favorites like Tracer, Reaper, and Winston, and more recent additions such as Lifeweaver, Mauga, and Venture. The upcoming Overwatch 2 continues this trend with the announcement of a new Space Ranger hero.

At BlizzCon 2023, the development of Overwatch 2’s new hero, Juno, was officially unveiled. Previously stationed on Mars for an extended period, this latest addition to Overwatch 2 as a Support character has now returned to Earth. Accompanying Juno are advanced Sci-Fi gadgets, showcasing a range of impressive abilities. These include a novel type of support weapon and a breathtaking ultimate ability.

All of Overwatch 2 Juno’s Abilities Explained

Mediblaster – Primary Fire

In the game “Overwatch 2,” Juno is among the Support heroes who carry unique weapons. The weapon of choice for Juno is known as the Mediblaster. This gun boasts both primary and secondary firing modes. When enemies cross your sights, the primary fire inflicts damage on them. Conversely, when allies are in your line of sight, the secondary fire heals them. Essentially, it’s a versatile tool that combines the functions of Ana and Tracer’s weapons, making Juno an invaluable asset to the team.

Pulsar Torpedoes – Secondary Fire

Juno’s secondary fire is called Pulsar Torpedoes, and it has the potential to be one of the Support hero’s most powerful abilities. Pressing the secondary fire button will see Juno lock onto all players in front of them, both allies and enemies. Once locked on, players can press the primary fire button to launch an array of missiles that home onto each designated target. These homing missiles will heal targeted allies gradually over time and damage any targeted enemies.

From July 19 to July 21, Overwatch 2‘s character Juno will be playable in all modes except for Competitive. She’ll officially join the game permanently on August 20 along with Season 12.

Glide Boost

In a way not unlike Echo’s Flight in the game “Overwatch 2,” Juno is equipped with a Glide Boost skill. This feature enables her to move faster and horizontally glide. Players can optimally use this ability in conjunction with Juno’s Martian Overboots Passive for extended flight durations.

Hyper Ring

One of Juno’s fascinating talents in “Overwatch 2” is called Hyper Ring. When Space Ranger Juno uses this skill, they create a massive Sci-Fi hoop before them. Team members moving through this circle acquire a brief burst of speed. The reveal trailer demonstrates an entire squad of five quickly passing through the ring in unison, enabling them to reach their goal significantly faster as a cohesive team.

Orbital Ray – Ultimate

Using her powerful Ultimate skill, Juno summons an Orbital Healing Ray that moves across the battlefield. As it passes over team members, they are restored to health and their attack power is boosted during the ray’s active period. Essentially, Juno provides a temporary revival and damage enhancement for her allies with this ability.

Martian Overboots – Passive

Lastly, Juno boasts a passive skill named “Martian Overboots.” This ability enables Juno to perform a double jump while airborne. Similar to figures like Echo and Mercy, pressing and holding the jump key will cause Juno to hover momentarily in mid-air.
