- Overwatch 2’s collaboration with Transformers brings new skins ahead of Season 12 next month.
As a long-time gamer and dedicated fan of both Overwatch and Transformers franchises, I’m thrilled to see these two worlds collide in Overwatch 2. The new Ramattra Megatron skin is an absolute must-have for any Transformers enthusiast, and the fact that Microsoft Rewards members can grab it without spending extra cash is a welcome surprise.
If you’re an Overwatch 2 player hankering for the new Ramattra Megatron skin without spending money, you might be in luck with Microsoft Rewards’ latest promotion. We’re now nearly a month into Season 11 of Overwatch 2. Although no new hero graced us this time, the Super Mega Ultrawatch theme brought a host of cool superhero-themed character skins. Additionally, we welcomed the new Push map, Runasapi, and other exciting modes and features to the game.
In the latest collaboration between gaming powerhouses, Overwatch 2 welcomes Transformers‘ four new hero skins. Reinhardt transforms into Optimus Prime, Ramattra becomes Megatron, Bastion takes on Bumblebee’s appearance, and Illari morphs into Arcee. These Transformers skins are now accessible in Overwatch 2‘s in-game marketplace. Each skin costs 2,500 Overwatch Coins, equivalent to $25 individually. Alternatively, fans can grab all four skins, plus additional perks, for a total of 5,900 Coins or $59.
Fortunately, Xbox gives Transformers fans an option to obtain Ramattra’s Megatron skin without spending extra money through Microsoft Rewards, costing 11,500 points. Unfortunately, the other three Transformers skins can only be bought in Overwatch 2’s shop.
Overwatch 2 Players Can Grab Ramattra’s Megatron Skin Via Microsoft Rewards
For those eagerly anticipating Ramattra’s Megatron skin in Overwatch 2, earning it through Microsoft Rewards is an appealing choice. However, amassing 11,500 reward points isn’t a small feat. Microsoft Rewards grants points to users for using Bing search engine and purchasing games or accessories from their store. The process of accumulating these points might take some time. It’s uncertain whether this offer will persist beyond Season 11, so those with nearly enough points should consider reaching the 11,500 mark to secure the Megatron Ramattra skin without spending an additional $25. Microsoft might present more generous deals for Overwatch 2 fans in future instances.
Overwatch 2 players have enjoyed the collaboration between Overwatch and Transformers, but there are more exciting things to come in the upcoming weeks as we draw closer to Season 12. A new support hero named Juno has been introduced by Overwatch 2. Players can get a feel for this space ranger during the weekend test run from July 19 to July 21. However, Juno will officially join Overwatch 2 when Season 12 starts on August 20.
