Overwatch 2 Giving Fans Chance to Get Free Zarya Skin and Loot Box

To celebrate the Overwatch Spotlight, Overwatch 2 is offering a free Zarya skin and an Epic Loot Box as Twitch Drops! You can earn these rewards simply by watching select Overwatch 2 streamers on Twitch for an hour – you don’t even need to play the game to get them.

There’s a lot of excitement building for the upcoming Overwatch Spotlight on February 4th at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time. Blizzard hasn’t revealed everything yet, but they’ve hinted at new heroes, story updates related to Vendetta, and significant changes to how the game is played – all of which we’re likely to see revealed during the showcase.

How to Get Overwatch Spotlight Twitch Drops

The Overwatch Showcase is already looking great, but Blizzard has added even more excitement with Twitch Drops! Watch an hour of Overwatch 2 on Twitch during the broadcast to get an Epic New Era Zarya skin and an Epic Loot Box. Important note: you need to watch one of the specific Overwatch 2 streamers chosen by Blizzard, and your Battle.net and Twitch accounts must be linked to receive the rewards.

We don’t know exactly how long these Twitch Drops will be available, but based on past events like last year’s Overwatch 2 Spotlight, you’ll probably have several hours after the showcase ends to claim them. However, these Drops will likely be different from regular Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops, which usually take a couple of weeks and 10+ hours of viewing to earn. You’ll almost certainly need to claim these new Drops on the same day they’re available.

This skin gives Zarya a blue outfit inspired by the Overwatch organization, including their logo. As a more recent member recruited by Cassidy, this look highlights her commitment to the team.

The Overwatch 2 Spotlight Event Is Almost Here

The Overwatch Spotlight event is expected to bring big news for the game, and will likely include the unveiling of new characters. Over the past month, Overwatch 2 has hinted at three potential heroes that could be added later this year.

  • Anran Ye, the fire-bending sister of Wuyang
  • Emre Sarioglu, the Overwatch-turned-Talon operative with a dark secret
  • Vaira Singhania, codenamed Domina, the granddaughter of Vishkar Corporation’s founder

As a huge Overwatch 2 fan, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz that Blizzard might be planning to drop more than the usual three new heroes this year, which is super exciting!

In addition to some mysterious heroes appearing in recent stories, the new character Vendetta (introduced in Season 20) is becoming a key player. She’s aiming to control Talon, and reports suggest she’ll have to defeat Doomfist to do so. Talon’s influence has even extended into Overwatch 2 itself, with changes to the game’s menus and social media branding. Images hinting at a “Reign of Talon” theme briefly appeared on Twitter before being taken down, possibly revealing the focus of Season 21, which is scheduled to launch on February 10th.

The changes to Overwatch might be more significant than previously thought.
