As a lifelong fan of both Overwatch 2 and My Hero Academia, I couldn’t be more thrilled about this epic crossover event! The idea of seeing my favorite heroes from Overwatch donning the costumes of Deku, All Might, Uraraka, Tomura Shigaraki, and Himiko Toga is simply mind-blowing.

In a recent announcement, it’s been disclosed that Overwatch 2 is teaming up with My Hero Academia, introducing five fresh skins for the game. The collaboration roster of Overwatch 2 keeps expanding and now boasts notable figures from Japanese pop culture.

Last year marked the debut of the initial crossover between Overwatch 2, and it showcased character skins inspired by One-Punch Man. The manga chronicles the escapades of Saitama, a powerful hero capable of vanquishing foes with a solitary punch. During that timeframe, gamers witnessed Doomfist transform into Saitama, Genji emulating cyborg Genos, Kiriko as Terrible Tornado, and Soldier 76 morphing into the adored Mumen Rider. More recently, in March, Overwatch 2 teamed up with Cowboy Bebop, an anime that portrays a band of space bounty hunters. In this crossover, Ashe took on the role of Faye Valentine, Cassidy became Spike Spiegel, Mauga was Jet Black, and Sombra assumed the persona of Ed.

Currently, there’s an exciting crossover happening between “Overwatch 2” and “My Hero Academia”. From October 17th to the 30th, players can collect five unique skins. The main character Deku will be represented by Tracer, while Reinhardt takes on the role of All Might. Juno will transform into Uraraka in this collaboration. On the villainous side, Reaper will don a skin inspired by Tomura Shigaraki, leader of the League of Villains, and Kiriko will cosplay as Himiko Toga, one of the primary antagonists from Kohei Horikoshi’s manga.

Apart from unveiling the costumes, Blizzard has mentioned that acquiring the “My Hero Academia” skins will be possible via a large collection pack, which will be offered in the game’s store. This package includes five Legendary skins and additional cosmetics, though the announcement did not specify the nature of these extras. The collaboration also features five free Overwatch 2 sprays and a weapon charm for players.

In the realm of Overwatch 2, Season 12, the fusion with “My Hero Academia” broadens an extensive roster of skins, featuring various themes like Egyptian mythology. Excited players have been brainstorming potential characters who could’ve received skins from this collaboration, such as Venture sporting Red Riot attire, Frog Girl transforming into Lucio, Bakugo taking on the role of Junkrat, and a “My Hero Academia” skin for Soujorn. The community has also been thrilled to see Juno finally getting her first skin, especially one inspired by a beloved character, after much waiting.
