As a passionate fan of both Overwatch 2 and Power Rangers, I can’t help but feel disappointed that Blizzard missed out on an incredible opportunity to pay homage to Mauga’s voice actor, John Tui’s rich Power Rangers history. The fact that Tui has voiced various characters in several Power Rangers series, including the iconic Daggeron from Power Rangers Mystic Force, makes it all the more unfortunate.

A player of “Overwatch 2” noticed that Blizzard had missed an excellent chance to create a skin for Mauga based on his voice actor’s past role as Power Ranger Daggeron in “Power Rangers Mystic Force.” This idea would have been ideal during the sentai-themed season of “Overwatch 2,” specifically in Season 11 Battle Pass.

Having played the original game since its release, I can confidently say that each new batch of seasonal content never fails to bring something fresh and engaging to the table. The recent run of updates, which I like to call “Super Mega Ultrawatch,” is no exception.

Revisiting either of these roles would have been a thrilling nod to my Power Rangers background in Overwatch 2.

Fans of Shattered_Disk4 shared the excitement about potential skins inspired by Power Rangers’ iconic roles in Overwatch 2. However, they acknowledged the copyright challenges that could arise without a formal collaboration between Blizzard and Power Rangers. Some fans suggested that Solar Knight or Solar Streak (Megazord) for characters like Mauga could be viable options. This idea led to brainstorming other hypothetical skins based on former voice actors’ roles, such as Saladin from Destiny 2 being reimagined as Reaper.

Mauga may not have received many changes in the latest update, but fans of Overwatch 2 can still reward him with the Port-De-Paix skin. This skin brings back Mauga’s classic look from his early appearances in Overwatch 1, featuring a red breezy shirt.
