Blizzard Entertainment has revealed big updates coming to its team-based shooter, Overwatch. Most notably, the game is dropping the “2” from its name and will simply be called Overwatch starting February 10th. Instead of continuing with the current season, the game will begin with Season 1 in February. The yearly seasons will run through Season 6, and then reset back to Season 1 again in 2027.

You’re likely wondering when the first season of the revamped Overwatch will be released. While Blizzard hasn’t officially announced a date, based on how they’ve launched seasons in the past, we anticipate it will be on Tuesday, February 10th at 11 AM Pacific Time, 2 PM Eastern Time, or 7 PM GMT. Good news – Overwatch updates usually don’t require server downtime, so most players should be able to jump right in and play at those times, hopefully without any problems!
