On September 16th, a mid-season update launched for *Overwatch 2*, kicking off a collaboration with *Persona 5*. Similar to past events, this crossover includes in-game challenges, hidden surprises, and new character skins based on the popular JRPG.

It’s common to see popular heroes like D.Va, Mercy, and Genji receive new skins, but the choice of Wuyang is particularly interesting. Wuyang was only added to the game three weeks ago, and now they’re a central figure in the latest crossover, even getting an *Overwatch 2* skin based on the *Persona 5* character Joker.
Juno used to be the fastest champion to receive a collaborative skin after being released. She debuted in Season 12 on August 20, 2024, and got a skin in the *Overwatch 2* x *My Hero Academia* collaboration about 8 weeks later, during Season 13 on October 17. However, Wuyang quickly surpassed that record.

Adding to the excitement, Wuyang is also part of the in-game rewards available on Twitch during the mid-Season 18 Overwatch 2 streams. Viewers can earn the Mala Mania Spray, Happy Panda Weapon Charm, and two Namecards – Seeking Waters Way and Panda Hugger – all themed around Wuyang. It’s rare for a new hero to have Twitch Drops during their launch season – it’s only happened twice before: with Kiriko’s Sukajan skin when Overwatch 2 launched, and with Ramattra’s Traveling Monk skin in Season 2.
