I recently participated in a practical demonstration organized by Sega of America, during which I got to play approximately two hours of the game and engage in a group discussion with Yosuke Uda, Atlus’s chief producer, and Jun Matsunaga, a development producer at Sega. This brief gaming session gave me a glimpse into Persona 5: The Phantom X, but it’s evident that I barely touched the tip of the iceberg; the game is brimming with activities and locations to discover, to an extent that rivals the mainline Persona series.
The ambiguity surrounding this project primarily stems from its dynamic development and limited information provided by Maxis. At present, it appears to be a continuation of The Sims 4, but not quite a sequel, instead representing an unorthodox evolution of the series that isn’t quite a spin-off. To make matters more uncertain, it might still be some time before we see Project Rene. Despite fans and Maxis being unable to clearly define what Project Rene is or how it will distinguish itself in the footsteps of previous games, there’s one aspect that’s undeniably clear. In order to pay tribute to its forerunners, Project Rene should embody the unique quirkiness that characterized the most impactful Sims expansions.
As someone who grew up enjoying the chills of Goosebumps books and their TV adaptations, along with other ’90s kid-friendly scary shows, I was thrilled when Netflix debuted the Fear Street trilogy in the summer of 2021. The initial film delved into a typical slasher plot from the ’90s, while the second took us to Camp Nightwing in 1978, and the third ventured as far back as the 17th century. Although I found myself most captivated by the first one due to its fun references and Maya Hawke’s opening scene that echoed Scream, any adaptation based on R.L. Stine’s works holds a special place for me. I eagerly awaited Fear Street: Prom Queen, which hit screens on May 23rd, 2025.
Back in March of ’19, I jumped into the world of “The Division 2”, a looter shooter set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, created by Ubisoft’s Swedish studio, Massive Entertainment. This game was released on PC, last-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and it was met with mostly positive reviews, as reflected in its “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, averaging 83 and boasting a 91% recommendation rate among reviewers.
To my delight, this game has sold over 10 million copies, making it one of Ubisoft’s most successful titles ever. As a result, Massive Entertainment decided to extend the post-launch content roadmap for “The Division 2”, and they’re still providing updates today, even though they initially intended to wrap up DLC development by late ’20.

The Wurmkin is the only clan from Monster Train that is not currently available in the sequel.
Initially facing a rocky start in 2016, No Man’s Sky has evolved significantly, moving past its initial challenges, and transforming into an engaging multiplayer game treasured by its players. After the initial setback at launch, developer Hello Games expanded upon their original plan for the game, continuously introducing new features and improving existing ones through numerous updates. One of the lasting additions is the feature that allows players to construct their own No Man’s Sky bases and settlements within the massive, procedurally generated universe. These player-built structures can be customized by adding buildings and filling them with a variety of tools for practical use or decorative items according to personal preference and style.
I can hardly contain my excitement for the third season of “Solo Leveling”! It’s shaping up to be even more thrilling than the last, as there are still many story arcs from the manhwa left to be adapted. Familiar faces and new characters alike will play pivotal roles in the narrative. Among them is my sister, Sung Jin-Ah, who is poised to take on a significant, potentially life-altering role that promises danger and depth in “Solo Leveling” season 3!
