The latest update to the Switch’s operating system, marking its fourth release since April, began with version 20.0.0. This update from April brought about the introduction of the Virtual Game Cards system. With this system, users can transfer certain digital games across different Switch consoles, but not all games are eligible; for instance, those that require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription like Tetris 99 cannot be transferred. Additionally, Virtual Game Cards may be lent to other users on the same account for a maximum of two weeks before they return to the original system.

It’s understandable that there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming Switch 2, given the impressive lineup of games that have been revealed for it in its initial year. However, despite their eagerness, some gamers will find themselves unable to acquire the console at its launch date.

In a video showcased by Nintendo, the latest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game performances on the Switch 2 were demonstrated, running at 60 frames per second. Given that performance issues were a significant point of contention regarding Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this improved Switch 2 performance is likely to significantly enhance the games’ standing among critics.

As someone eagerly waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2, you may find yourself in a predicament if you missed out on the preorders. But fear not! I’ve compiled some helpful suggestions on how I can snag a Nintendo Switch 2 even without a preorder.

Here are a few strategies to consider:

1. Keep an eye on restock announcements from retailers like GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon. They may receive additional stock closer to the release date or in the weeks following it.

2. Join online communities dedicated to video games and Nintendo Switch. Fellow enthusiasts often share information about where they’ve spotted available units for sale.

3. Check local gaming stores and electronics shops regularly for any unsold consoles. Some people may have purchased multiple systems and resell the extras in these locations.

4. Consider purchasing from third-party sellers on eBay or Craigslist. Just be sure to verify their reputation and the condition of the system before making a purchase.

5. If all else fails, you could also consider signing up for restock notifications via services like NowInStock or Stock Informer. These platforms monitor retailer websites and alert you when the Nintendo Switch 2 becomes available.

Anticipation for the Nintendo Switch 2 was incredibly high before its release date, often resulting in pre-orders being snapped up quickly by shops once they went on sale. In fact, Nintendo has admitted that they might not be able to meet the initial customer demand for the Switch 2, despite efforts from retailers like GameStop and Walmart to stop bots and scalpers from buying up all the manufactured Switch 2 consoles.

Following the conclusion of the original “Dragon Ball” manga in the 1990s, its universe has grown significantly. 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for RPG gamers like me, as I’ve got two epic games from Obsidian Entertainment on my radar – first being “Avowed”, which dropped in February, and now, it’s time for “The Outer Worlds 2”! Remember when Obsidian unveiled this space-faring RPG during their E3 2021 showcase? Well, they kept mum about it for years until it resurfaced with a gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2024.

In that event, they announced a 2025 release window for “The Outer Worlds 2”, causing quite a stir among fans since “Avowed” was already slated to be their big RPG of the year. Many doubted if this second game would actually arrive in 2025. But with Obsidian revealing tons of official gameplay footage recently and a significant presence at Xbox’s showcase Direct, it seems like they’re on track for that release date. I can hardly wait to explore the galaxies of “The Outer Worlds 2” later this year!

At first glance, it seems like a forthcoming open-world shooter game produced by Leslie Benzies, known for his work on the Grand Theft Auto series. One might expect an immediate success, but the situation is more complex than it appears, and there have been issues within the studio.
