$30,000 Sonic Cartridge: Worth It?
In promoting the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Sega and Paramount chose to blend elements of the franchise’s newer 3D games with a nod to its roots on the Sega Genesis. As part of a unique promotion, Sega created a limited-edition version of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 game cartridge. This special edition contained promotional movie images, music, and even a sneak peek at the final film trailer’s release date. Notably, this was the first official working Sonic the Hedgehog game cartridge since the release of Sonic 3D Blast in 1996.
