Stepping into the realm of sci-fi action adventure, I’m eagerly anticipating my role as a movie reviewer for the live-action adaptation of the beloved anime series, “Voltron: Defender of the Universe,” set to hit screens soon. The official announcement came in March 2022, with Rawson Marshall Thurber (director of “Red Notice” and “Central Intelligence”) at the helm and Amazon MGM Studios as the production powerhouse.
Joining Henry Cavill in this highly anticipated film are an impressive ensemble cast, including Daniel Quinn-Toye, Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora, John Harlan Kim, Alba Baptista, Samson Kayo, and Tharanya Tharan. Filming commenced in December 2024, wrapping up production in April 2025.
With the movie now on the horizon, fans are buzzing with excitement. However, a recent update has left many feeling a tinge of disappointment.
