It’s surprising to realize that the Nintendo Switch is approaching its eighth birthday, having been released in March 2017. Notably, this was also the year when games like “Horizon: Zero Dawn” and “Breath of the Wild” hit the market. Typically, systems past their seventh year on the market would see a decline in first-party releases and exciting announcements. However, contrary to expectations, the Nintendo Switch has had a remarkably strong 2024. Despite its advanced age, it continues to deliver with several successful showcases this year and a number of major exclusives lined up for release, such as “Metroid Prime 4”, “Mario & Luigi: Brothership”, and “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”.
