Since its premiere in July 2019, “The Boys” has undeniably emerged as Amazon Prime Video’s biggest triumph. The fifth and final season of this original series is scheduled for release in 2026. In the HBO series “The Last of Us,” Ramsey’s character, Ellie, is a key figure due to her immunity to the Cordyceps infection, which could hold the secret to a potential cure. Ramsey’s portrayal of Ellie was highly acclaimed during the first season as it beautifully encapsulated Ellie’s emotional complexity, resilience, and vulnerability. While Ramsey’s performance was distinct, it remained faithful to the essence of the video game character. However, some viewers have expressed apprehension about Ramsey’s appearance in Season 2 because a five-year time gap exists between the original game (2013) and its sequel (2020), so Ellie should appear slightly older in the second season.

Amazon’s Prime Video holds an intriguing position in the realm of streaming services. Despite a relatively low view count, Amazon was content with the outcome of “Citadel,” approving a second season and greenlighting multiple spinoff series. However, the future has become rather unclear for the “Citadel” franchise as a whole.
